Trumpism...Cult or No Cult?

I was skeptical of trump and his affinity for the Constitution. Yet over 3 years he demonstrated his affinity towards it.
I'm curious. What were the events that proved it to you?
  • Was it all the times he said he wants to silence his 'fake news' media critics?
  • Was it when he issued a Muslim travel ban and said he wants to force Muslims to register in a database?
  • Was it when he took funding intended for our military and used it for his border wall?
  • Was it when he dangled US funding in front of the Ukraine President in exchange for announcing an investigation of his political rival, Joe Biden?
  • Was it when he said last November's election was a fraud and that he should rightly stay in power?
  • Or was it when he revved up his followers to 'stop the steal' at the Capitol when Congress was in the process of certifying Biden's victory in the EC?
The weird part of your question is you don't look in the mirror.
Yeah, I'm guessing you can ignore all of Trump's shenanigans and sleep at night by telling yourself Nancy Pelosi's transgressions are SO MUCH WORSE, right?

Some of those things I had no issue with such funding a border wall . It's national security. I had no issue giving Ukraine weapons for their self defense. I also don't have an issue with keeping on eye on travel from countries and regions that are a hot bed of terrorism and have a general hatred for America. I do have an issue with tracking people in databases.
I have an issue when government steps on the Bill of Rights. They have been $hittimg on the 4th Amendment since Bush pushed the Patriot Act which I find revolting because there is nothing patriotic about stepping on the Bill of Rights.

All of those things you mention, even if true, are transgressions in other countries. Your cult my friend wants to strip us of our second amendment rights, they hate free speech. They hate the 4th Amendment. They can't stand the 10th Amendment. They total control, obedience and central planning and authority. The progressive left in this country have a disdain for the Constitution, liberty and free markets and want nothing but all of us to comply with their ideas especially on taxation and wealth redistribution. So, I ask you who is a bigger threat to the individual and individual liberty? Is the guy who wants you to keep more of your money and protect America and defend liberty or the saucey gal who constantly pushes an agenda of greater central authority on our lives? Trump is not my favorite person and what I like about him is he does push back hard against this soft slow tyranny which the left embraces. I don't go to his rallies but I understand why he is popular. He has been the only guy to stand up and fight the middle class. You are kidding yourself or in denial if you think the progressive socialist agenda is sticking up for the middle class, for entrepreneurs, for small businesses and even union workers when all they promote are more programs, more government dependency, more taxation, higher energy costs and on and on.

I just want to be left alone . I want a government that respects the limits of power placed upon it by the damn document that created it and set it up. The feds are not my savior..They are not my nanny and I don't owe you or any other American anything in particular the fruit of my labor and time. My fellow man is not entitled to my wealth and work. The Constitution didn't create the federal government to make life fair or so all of us would have equal wealth.it was created the federal government to do 18 specific things the states , ( sovereign states) could not do on their own. Wealth redistribution and making life fair is not the purpose of government.

Nobody is saying we should all have equal wealth, so that is simply a red herring. Taxes are constitutional by the way.

Have you ever noticed how "It's all about The Constitution, baby!!!".....until it isn't? :)

Yeah, let's bring down the country because president reality tv cant accept that he lost.
Nah, I just think that we could restructure how our government functions in a way that is more in line with how society has advanced in the last 250 years. For example, there's no reason that we shouldn't have popular referendums on a national level. There should also be a board of regional governors to administer federal laws based on the needs of the region that the governor they elect oversees. Each region elects their governor and through a parliamentary system have one of them charged with the duties of commander in chief. As it is, the presidency is to big of a job for one man, which is why the bureaucrats actually run the country.

calling Trump a reality TV star is almost retarded as calling Michael Jordan "that shoe guy".

almost.

Except it isnt. Trump hadnt been relevant since the late 80s/early 90s when he ran all of his businesses into the ground, until his reality show.

The presidency is not too big of a job for one man, especially when they have tons of advisors, and you have congress and the courts as well. The rest doesnt even make sense unless you are just implying you want to break up the country.

You seriously think there is no way to improve upon a system designed 250 years ago? How conservative of you.

don't be dumb, he was responsible for nearly a dozen 7-9 figure business ventures before the apprentice.

you can say you don't like him cuz he hurts your feelings, or whatever, but you just sound like a bitter child trying to convince anyone he's not a successful businessman.

Of course you can improve on things, thats why the constitution allows for ammendments. But your idea is basically just breaking off the country into regions, including each region having their own commander in chief. If that is the direction you want to go, then I dont understand why you wouldnt just want to break up the country. That is essentially what you are doing anyway.

Then tell me his successful businesses after the 80s and prior to the apprentice.

I literally said that one person should be in the position of commander in chief.

I just think that a system that was designed with 1 executive over a population of 3 million people may not be quite as effective when the population grows to 320 million and the geography has grown in size by over 10x.

We already have states and governors, mayors, etc etc. Now you want even more government? Didnt you used to say you are a libertarian?

My suggestion is pretty libertarian in nature but pragmatic enough to recognize that we do need a federal government.

sure, i'll help you with your homework

40 Wall Street - bought for $1mil, now worth $500,000,000
Trump Place - don't know the worth off the top of my head
Golf - bought a few struggling courses in 1999, now worth nearly $700 million

The guy spent more time golfing than everyone else who had the job before him combined. I just can not imagine that mindset. If I had the most important job in the world I'd be spending every second I could doing that job, or getting smarter so I can do the job better.

Instead he put his own unqualified spawn in positions of power and spent half his time watching either watching Fox news or on the links. He's the ultimate loser. If you are still defending him you are a cult member, full stop.

When Obama was still President, Trump complained about the number of times he played golf. Ironically, Trump ended up playing a lot more golf in four years than Obama did in eight.

He said once he got elected he wouldn’t have time to play golf. But he said it over and over and over so that’s how you knew it was a lie and he would play golf 300 times in a single term.

Didn’t he also say he’d stop tweeting since he’d be so busy working?

Someone should add up all the time he spent tweeting, golfing, and watching Fox News to see how many actual working hours he put in during his four years. I am guessing it was fewer than 20 hours a week. Cue the Trump fanbois to tell us how great a multitasker he was…

Donald was a bullshit artist 100%. I know, I know—tds tds tds.

The parodies write themselves.

If you are a trump supporter by definition you are a hypocrite, it's comical to everyone else at this point the number of way trump and his cult prove themselves to be hypocrites.
