I was laughing my ass off when I saw the replay of it today, she is clearly one of the dumbest people in terms of taxes and business that I have ever seen. She didn't do her homework.

Now if you used his 2009 taxes, you likely would see profits but little paid in taxes due to carry forward losses of 07 and 08 that offset profits. That would probably paint the picture the left is going for.

Simple, the left is screaming that Trump does not pay taxes. If he was a dirty as the left dreams he was, his effective tax rate would not be 25% no matter what year. The fact that his effective tax rate is 25% from 2005, a year he was never thinking of running for President, it clearly shows he pays what he owes.

Fact is Madcow thought she was going to get Trump and due to her own stupidity and know understanding simple math, she looks the fool. How NBC can keep her around after this is beyond me.

I see your point. However I would say there have been bigger "controversies" in the past where selectively planting this return would have helped more than now.

Plus this went to some fairly obscure NY reporter who is actively writing a book on Trump that will attempt to skewer him. There's no guarantee sending it to this guy meant it'd get published. He, the Daily Beast, and Maddow all somehow concluded that this proved something sinister- enough to drum up faux suspense about it.
