Two head coach candidates for other schools under fire at Georgia

UGA is like Clemson. They just need to be patient and eventually they'll get there. They will never be FSU in the 90's, USC in the 00's or Bama now.

I'll admit that when Tenn hired Dooley, I thought it was a great hire. :grimace:

He was a joke hire....had basically just 4 years of experience at LSU before joining the Miami Dolphins...then at La Tech, in his only HC experience, he went just 12-12 in conf play...yet big and mighty Tennessee thought HE was the answer to their problems?

Tennessee got what they deserved.

They were shell shocked from the Kiffin departure. "Why would anyone leave Tennessee voluntary?" They chose Dooley because he wanted to be there and he had good lineage.

Lineage can help in horse racing...not so much in coaching football (i.e. Bowden family tree, Spurrier family tree, Dooley family tree, Shula family tree, etc...)

If they hang in with Richt, they'll catch a break one season and win a NC, if they fire him, they may end up with Derek Dooley.

The same arguments that happened here about GOL are happening there about Richt. There's the camp that doesn't think they can do better than Richt and the camp that thinks those folks are shortsighted and just scared of the unknown.

Pruitt is an excellent coach but if you know about the rumors about him at FSU he might go missing one day after oversleeping on sorority row
