Utah. Boise st. BYU. All had undefeated seasons and other than BYU were left wanting. How do you feel about how this years UCF team compares to those other mid-major "title" contenders? Was this team legitimately on a level of staking a claim as the best team in the country?

Utah. Boise st. BYU. All had undefeated seasons and other than BYU were left wanting. How do you feel about how this years UCF team compares to those other mid-major "title" contenders? Was this team legitimately on a level of staking a claim as the best team in the country?

Yes. This team had a legitimate stake to be the best team in the country. Did you watch the game vs Auburn? Our defensive line and linebackers man handled their defensive line all game. Kerryon Johnson couldn't run and we had consistent pressure on their QB. And our offensive line, even with backup players completely held their own vs. future NFL d-lineman. The only reason that game was as close as it was was because we missed 2 field goals and Milton came out a little nervous in the first half, otherwise we win by 2-3 tds.

Auburn beat Georgia and Alabama pretty handily and they lost a close game to Clemson and we manhandled them for a good portion of the game. You cannot tell me that wouldn't have fared well in the playoffs after beating a team yesterday who was almost there themselves and beat two of them in it.
