UCF basketball post season play?

seems like a tournament made for degenerate gamblers who hit withdrawals once the real tournament is down to 4 teams.

Why would a school turn down a paid for boondoggle to Las Vegas?

What's going on in Morgantown end of the month? Nothing.

Lame decision to turn down post season play. I'd be pissed if I was a player on a team that turned it down. I'd be like uh...do I have a decision to play? Plush Vegas hotel vs Morgantown dorm room. hmmm...who makes these decisions? I'd like to hear their reasoning to turn it down.
There’s ZERO money for the schools…nothing. The tournament pays for the team’s expenses and the NIL goes to the CURRENT players on the basketball team.

And perhaps (if you were to win), that extra money would be enough to keep a player or two for next year.

Some players are genuinely happy where they’re at, but it’s hard to turn down more money from elsewhere. More money to a underclass man this year could be enough to deter them from leaving next year? You never know.

I went to the CBI games about a dozen years ago. They were fun. It was $5 to see Marcus Jordan play in the CBI. Donnie Jones was coach back then. He was fired by Danny White shortly after he arrived at UCF. His teams would get ahead by 10-20 points only to blow the lead at the end of the games. He was so Happy when he beat Dawkins last season. He walked right by us with a huge smile on his face. Also, I saw the winner of the Crown gets $300k to share. Then $100k for second and $50k for 3rd and 4th. That's a big incentive for the players.
