UCF basketball post season play?

Oregon State should have won that game. They played with so much more energy and with a 'want-to' attitude.

UCF got lucky Thiam wasn't called for a foul on that final play. But, we win.

Next game Thursday vs Cincinnati. Who thinks we win that one? :p

I understand refs don't want to blow a whistle in those situations, but he legit grabbed his arm and swung him to the ground when the ball was going right to him.

I did something I’ve never done in over 20 years. I stopped watching a UCF game. Just didn’t find any interest in the product whatsoever. Half the rotation is graduating. A couple others are hitting the portal as soon as the season ends.

Like I’ve said before, if UCF is playing, then I’m watching. But our basketball program is so dead. Just zero juice, zero interest.

The game today felt like a summer scrimmage inter squad games at the gym. People were just trying to work on their game without a heck of a lot of discipline.

‘Zero interest’. Yet here you are commenting on a forum topic about UCF Basketball post season play. zero interest to me means you don’t even look at this thread and if you comment, even if it is negative, that shows some interest.

"I'm definitely looking forward to the game," Johnson said. "We only played once this season and they got us at home. I'm looking forward to playing them, conference rival from The American to the Big 12. It's going to be a competitive, physical game, a hard-nosed fight to the end."

I think the NIL prize is motivating some of the guys. The ones in the portal want the other teams to offer them more money as well.

Last night's game would have been interesting if both Oregon State and UCF had it's full rosters. Probably a similar outcome. I liked Oregon State's coach. However, he cost the game with that time out call before that last shot to win the game went in.

"Oregon State took two cracks at the win during the final 10 seconds. Lelevicius was first, but his drive to the basket was blocked by Thiam. Minor collected the rebound, and hit a baseline jumper with 5.1 seconds left. But shortly before Minor took the shot, OSU coach Wayne Tinkle called a timeout, negating the basket."

Yeah man. Thiam has to be more disciplined in those situations. Nearly cost us the game. It was definitely a foul. Gotta feel bad for those OSU kids but I'm glad we're moving on.

Two players that had a mission accomplished in yesterday's game was Hendricks & Machowski. Both had 15 points and both looked good playing more minutes than just as a role player. Meanwhile, the West Virginia players are sitting in morgantown at 40F degrees and the UCF players got a couple more days in Vegas on the company dime. Who's still playing in April and who is not?

Again, I don't see the benefit of players and teams sitting out on any post season play. But, whatev, Keyshawn Hall is getting looked at by Kansas right now. I'm sure he rather be playing with his team mates rather than sitting on zoom calls all day. But, again whatev. What do I know?!? I'm just an observer with the gift of gab (plus can type super fast).

The CBC is again off the market for Hard Rock Betting. Thus, can't see the odds. That is a story within itself on why these games are on the betting line, removed, added again, then once again removed. I won on every bet I made so far on this tourny (+3 dollars).

Quarterfinals — MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas

  • Butler vs. Boise State, 7 p.m. April 2
  • Nebraska vs. Georgetown, 9:30 p.m. April 2

  • Cincinnati vs. UCF, 7 p.m. April 3
  • Villanova vs. USC, 9:30 p.m. April 3

Cincinnati takes on UCF Thursday at 7 p.m. ET on FS1. UC is a 3.5-point betting favorite in the game with a point total of 152.5 points.

Found while googlin'. 3.5 points isn't that much. I was expecting around 8 points. But, wouldn't be surprised if cinci wins by 10 or 15.

This game will be tough. They haven't had near as many players enter the portal as UCF. If our guys win they are in the money. The semi-finalists get at least 50k NIL to split.

Both of those guys started games this year. Hendricks is streaky but he hustles. Nils looked good on offense. Defense he is a liability.

That actually happened to me this year too.

CBC odds on Hard Rock App now.

Boise State -8.5 over Butler Tonight 7pm
Nebraska -9.5 over Georgetown Tonight 9:30pm

Cinci -6.5 over UCF Thursday 7pm
Villanova -5.5 over USC Thursday 9:30pm

I think winners of these games get into the NIL money games next. Probably going to see some battling going on for that!

Nebraska beat Georgetown in the late game last night.

UCF basketball final game tonight? Cinci at -6.5 currently. I'm sure it's going to be a dogfight. DJ Johnson's 'possible' last game in a UCF uniform. Maybe in his career. You know he ain't going out without competing very hard.

And, another stinger to the troll-haters, don't watch tonight, there is zero interest in this game. :p :p :p

I'm expecting a loss thus not too worried about it but glad UCF at least won one game. I watched Cinci's last game and they look like they are playing like a complete team. I haven't dug into if they have their full complement of players from the season. But, they looked good. I'm not betting on this one but I would take Cinci and the 6.5 points. But, not doing it. I may place a bet during the game after I see the flow of the game in the first half and if UCF sticks around and keeps it close. Sometime's it is better to wait to bet until after the game starts.

For betting tips, it seems like every favorite has won in this tourny and the betters who pick the over are winning out.

Also, I'm sure everyone has seen that Keyshawn Hall has signed to play for Auburn next year. Final four team!

Go Knights and Beat The Bearcats!
