You can now join your Miami buddy on ignore.
UCF fans should support Scott Frost 💯%., even if he posts four consecutive losing seasons. He is the coach of record, even if he is a HUGE leap backward from Gus. Support the head coach and players. Don't walk out of the stadium at halftime.

as I have said before AL1 is really invested in UCF failing under Frost with his weird loyalty to Gus. At least Lobo is loyal to a Program not a Coach.

As for the article itself, ignorant. It's something I could have written, meaning, someone with black and gold glasses cemented to his eyes. I'll summarize the article in 1 sentence. "We joined the BIg XII and should have been Champions both years and recruited top 10 classes both years." Sorry, only an ignorant boob should have expected that. Worse than that, he mentions NIL then fails to understand our $$ is obviously less than established P5 (4) and maybe that's why we haven't had immediate recruiting success. The article just seems like an attempt to get noticed, rather than something even remotely thought out.

A couple things. Gus as a person is a good soul. I actually think he likes UCF and the Community. I am sorry it didn't work out here.

I think Frost will either succeed or he will fail. For that matter you could practically put any potential hire in that statement. He is our coach and I am excited to see what comes our way.

Just an observation here . I watched the Challenger accident in real time from my high school in Longwood, Florida. Seven souls died that day and I am not a fan of you using it to cheapen or highlight UCFs mess right now. You can do better.

He didn’t even meet with the team before leaving..are we sure he liked UCF? the FSU OC move and buyout situation was to save his image bc he didn’t want to be fired or retire.

The Forst hire was made because UCF doesn’t have a lot of money. The roster is in shambles and there’s a long rebuild…simple as that.

For UCF to get a viable HC they would need $7M to $8M a year plus money for good assistants. The school doesn’t have that money right now…simple as that.

I agree with everything you just said.

But ..

I, too, watched the Challenger live, only I was in middle school, Alabama history class. Following the explosion, my best friend turned around and asked "What was the last thing to go through that teachers' mind?" I said "I don't know." He yelled out, "A big piece of metal!"

Gus Malzone never intended to build anything at UCF. The goal from day one was to get wins NOW in hopes of getting an SEC head coaching job.

Gus Malzone seems set back the UCF football program and left it in terrible shape. Multi year rebuild now and that’s with everything going well.

Unfortunately AL1 doesn't feel the same about Frost.

Also AL1 rooted for the challenger to go down in flames. Gus wasn't on board to save it... probably.

Seriously doubt his on the field results will be any worse than Gus’! He got worse every year and made us a total non-factor in the Big XII.

That's 6th grade funny right there. When I say live , I mean I was outside at lunch looking into the eastern sky in real time . It wasn't on TV for me and many here. It was outside. I recall being in trig class and a buddy of mine made a similar inappropriate joke about it. We all laughed and the kid got detention.

So, as a kid we joked about it too. As an adult when I see that footage it's sobering to know when it blew up 7 folks died and likely were conscious enough to know they were done for.

Dude, i am not going back to your posts over the last couple years , but you were all in how great this guy was and now you realize what a dumpster fire he left UCF in. We all knew the guy was on shaky ground and saw his flaws.

When he resigned and walked away from $12 million clams , he did give UCF a big parting gift. For that I have a lot of respect for the guy. It's why I think he liked it here. Maybe you could argue he respected TMo and didn't want to put TMo in a bind financially and give UCF something to hire a new staff?
