UCF hosts 5-5 Miami OH today in a rematch of last year's 1 pt win for the Redhawks up in Ohio.
Miami is lead by one of the best freshmen in the country, 6' 2" Guard Michael Weathers who is among the nation Freshmen leaders in pts scored (2nd in the nation with 20 pts per game, #1 in FT's made with 63, #17 in FG % at 47%, 10th in assist per game with 4.9 and is somehow 4th in blocked shots per game with 2.0 and 6th in total FG's scored with 6.4).

UCF Holiday Tix special of $5 for tix are available at the box office (no ticketmaster fee) to sit in the student bleacher seat sections and/or the $12 combo tix for hoops and ice skating.

We need to rebound after the last two losses. With a PG who is that good, it may br tough to pull out a win.

the 302nd ranked team in D1 comes to UCF and people are worried about a loss (and rightfully so)

What a sad, pathetic program.

You clearly don't play basketball like I do. Basketball is more about individual matchups than other sports.

Anyways we are up big against Miami.

Can we just cut Laing and have open tryouts? Tacko gets doubled and kicks it out to him right in the flow of the offense....and he just stands there and doesn't take the open three. If he were a true freshman I might give him some leeway because he shouldn't be playing the minutes but this is his 4th season as a college player and the hesitency is unacceptable.

Your attempt to be condescending aside, respectable basketball programs do not struggle vs one of the worst teams in the nation on their home court, regardless of the individual match ups. Miami Ohio is one of the worst teams in the entire nation for a reason, and that is because the vast majority of their players are awful at the game of basketball.

And UCF already lost at home to a deplorable PENN team, so if the wake up call wasn't then, it's not coming. This is just a bad team and the season seems to be over for all intents and purposes.

This analysis thing... You aren't good at it.

We won. Thankfully! Lang needs to shot the ball when he is left wide open.....
He finally did heave one up. It was a horrible attempt but when it's there in the flow of the game you have to take it. He starts making a few that changes the way a defense has to play against us.

Nate finally started, after playing 20 and then 25 minutes the previous game. As I predicted, we would lose 1 to 3 games over this impossible stretch. Could have easily lost to UMass and today, so now 8-3 with only B-CC at home Wednesday before a welcome rest until the start of Conference season. A 9-3 OOC would mean that 10-8 in the conference and one in the conference tourney gets us to 20 wins and an invite postseason? Anything better is gravy!

Nate starting a allowed AD to play offense and gets the ball up court fast enough to set up the offense. Each time Knights built up leads, Miami scrapped back in. Exciting game. Except for Tacko, team shot 25%. But Tacko's 31 points on 11-12 shooting and an amazing 9-12 with free throws held up in OT. Team had it's most productive game from the charity stripe with almost 85% accuracy. Matt Williams had his second career double double. AD had an all around game with 8 assists, a block, rebounds, and 9 pts before fouling out. The other key factor to overcome the 18 turnovers and bad shooting was a 46-26 rebounding advantage, including a rare dominance on the offensive boards.
