The UCF Knights Men's Basketball team closed out non-conference play with an easy win over the Jacksonville Dolphins, 86-66.

Darius Johnson and Jordan Ivy-Curry provided the scoring punch, but perhaps the biggest story was the return of guard Jaylin Sellers and the debut of guard Mikey Williams.

Coach Johnny Dawkins is pleased with how the non-conference schedule has played out for the Knights, but he knows there will be challenges ahead as Big 12 play begins on December 31st against Texas Tech.

We did well in the non-conference schedule. The conference schedule is, well, scary, LOL, but I think this team has a real shot at improving over last season. I worry a bit about if our front court depth is going to be good enough. I thought Taylor Young made a good point during the radio broadcast about needing to have a complete team at every position to win in the Big XII.

I didn't hear that, agree though. Would feel differently about the non-con slate had UCF beaten LSU. TT
