I’m surprised a team wouldn’t take a flier on Bowser in last round. Anyone know what the 40 times were?
Yeah I would say speed/agility is his biggest drawback at the next-level. I think he has good feet and moves well enough for a guy his size, but not NFL speed. And he was never really featured in college in the passing game, which is a big part of the position in the NFL now. He could probably be utilized most effectively in goal line situations, but that’s about it.
Unfortunately, Bowser played in the wrong era. I think he would have been a monster back in the day. But a college running back that stuck around for five years doesn’t have as much tread left on the tires as some other backs in the class. If the NFL demand would have been higher, he probably would have left years ago. I wish him the best though, I would be more than happy to be wrong.
