UCF to Move a Home Game

I would move the Georgia Tech game. That's the only home game that is going to move the needle for the casual fan (and potentially sell out the BHNS). Also, I would allow fans of the visiting team to book better seats instead of the typical corner of the end zone spot (maybe give them club seat options too). The local alums and the easy drive for the visitors could push the attendance to 55k.

HORRIBLE idea! We have a beautiful on-campus stadium on our beautiful campus! We left the Citrus Bowl and built our OWN stadium for a reason! Moving any home game to Camping World Stadium would be a gigantic mistake. Although I would probably go because I always support our team, should it happen, I would very much so prefer to boycott it to show what a complete antithesis it is to what we're trying to create by building tradition in our own home!

Unless Camping World is paying us to be there what the hell is the point? No way we can make more money being at the Camping World.

There is no 2017 FCS kickoff classic. FCS wants one. Maybe they can only find one school so UCF is the replacement against a big name opponent?

Rumor is FCS would pay us $1m. Don't know how that compares to the net profit for an on campus game.

FCS = Florida Citrus Sports

I find it hard to believe we can't make a million dollars for a home game on our own. 30K tickets @ $35 each average is 1.05 million right there, then throw in concessions and whatever else.

We sell some youth tickets for $50 for the entire season. Next is students that don't pay. Hard to say what we net per game. My guess is probably $600k after paying staff, police, cleanup crews, etc. The $1 million with limited expenses is probably a win for us.

I agree. Unless there is a HUGE HUGE payout for UCF, keep it in our house. The stadium may be over-packed but at least we're home.

Although......the students don't come to games anyway.....so hmmmmmmmmm :)

We can't sell out BHNS what makes them think will sell out camping world? If anything the size of that stadium will make the crowd look even worse.
