UCF Transfer Portal Updates

I believe everyone knows how it is, but the question is should College sports be a business and shouldn't the athletes be going to school to excell in the classroom? I don't know of any other discipline on a campus that operates the way athelitic departments do. As much as I enjoy College sports, and in particular football, I believe the current situation is out of control and not good for College sports. Perhaps it would be more honest and better to just take athletics out of of the colleges and universities and start professional minor leagues.
Or figure out a way to take the money out of college athletics. Make the compensation tuition room n boarding. The Pell grants were a nice bonus in the past n give a couple thousand but no more. This is crazy. Fans will root for the school n competition of their school.

So the best portal QB we can get is from FAU?!?WTF? We are going backwards here! Our staff is going to be NU 2.0 (probably our win total as well) and we’re looking to FAU to solve our QB issues😫
He looks better in his media from Hudl and Marshall. Didn't find much from FAU.

Lol. A couple of thousand? There’s no going back my man. Schools and coaches made billions of the back of players.

90% of guys going to college to play ball don’t go there to be students…not just now but always. Look at a guy like Gus Malzone…a goofy who made his entire career out of Cam Newton committing to Auburn.

Correct. Milton doesn’t know anything nor is any top QB about to sign up to be “coached” by him. That’s reality.

Milton is a terrible hire. He has no experience as a QB coach and has done nothing to deserve the job. It’s a hype move and that’s it. Milton needed to get a job at an FCS school and prove himself.
You don’t know jack shit about Milton’s knowledge or coaching ability.

Lmao. You don’t know ball goofy. If you think that ANY viable QB is coming to get coached by Milton…you are either high or drunk. Milton has not coached, much less developed anyone…dude has no resume. UCF made the equivalent of a nepotism hire and those almost never work out well.

Mark Richt made it a condition for taking the Miami job to have his son (an NFL analyst) be given the QB coaching job. It was a disaster.

You’ll find out the hard way…G5 fan.

Disagree about Milton , he is a brilliant football mind and glad he got the opportunity. and I think assuming that he will suck at recruiting won’t age well long term

How do you know all this? You don’t brother. He might very well develop into a great coach but he’s not qualified for the job NOW. There’s not one P4 or even G5 school (other than UCF) that would give the man a QB coaching job.

Maybe you guys believe that an entire staff, including the head coach, completely made up of guys that were working as analysts somewhere is a good idea? Let’s see who gets hired to coach the OL? I’ll bet is another failed coach working as an analyst.

This silly lil idiotic b**ch STILL continously makes backhanded comments towards UCF. "G5 fan." Yet some of you are stupid enough to still converse with him/them so he's yet to go away. Still posting here every single day.

I messed up. Plies did. They were popular at same time and I confused them. Plies transferred from Ohio or something. Didn’t play and then transferred to USF. He was rapping while at UCF. Wasn’t big yet.
What sport did Plies play? Transferred from Ohio? He's from Ft. Myers. I wasn't aware that he played any sports. Just knew he was a student at UCF.

What is he going to say?
Just retweet the tweet. Adding how great he will be wasn’t needed unless you think he can run your offense. I’m not optimistic. I’m just going by his tweet. You don’t want to lose credibility on your first recruit you bring in.

Jon Richt played at Mars Hill. Milton’s resume is leaps and bounds ahead of that. Not comparable.

You wanna say that Milton is underqualified resume-wise. Fine. That doesn’t mean he won’t be great at his job, there are examples of people in any profession getting jobs they aren’t qualified for and killing it.

Where did he say how great he’ll be? He said he was a baller. That’s it. Even if he believes that, he can still be a baller sitting on the bench if they have someone better.

I have I seen him train and develop QBs of different age groups. Several of which are at Power 4 conferences today…

His approach to the QB sessions, knowledge of mechanics, and reading defenses impressed me. His ability to connect with the kids and disseminate this information was even more impressive. Kids like him. As a coach, I know that not everyone that was a good player, can teach. He can. I’ve been there to see it myself.

Lobo, I get your schtick on here is to bash everything UCF, to UCF fans, for the sake of just telling them they suck. Every day, multiple times a day. That’s your enjoyment.

You sound smart at times and dumb as hell others. This one is the latter.

The one that doesn’t know is you.

If Daniel Obarski was the valedictorian and went on to change the world, fans would just talk about how much he sucked at kicking and cost the team games.
Guy was nails when it counted in the Florida game though....

If he's the backup, it's fine. Start complaining when he's named starter.
No, complaining now is the best course of action.....even if he was just a guy in a green jersey signaling plays, he would be a waste of a roster spot

I know we can't afford a top end transfer (unless the other 63 P4 teams are set at the position) but not an abject failure like this guy.

If he’s better than Jacurri Brown (he is) he’s not a waste of a roster spot.

As bad as Jacurri was, he is not worse than this guy.

Not saying that that can’t change though over time. Sounds like this guy is one of those pet projects for Milton to try to work with who’s got athletic tools. And of course, just another qb body in the room. At this point, he will be the 4th stringer with whatever other higher profile portal qb we bring in. Nothing to worry about here, move along

Even worse.....he sucked a Marsha too
Ugh, Marshall is a much better program than FAU lol.

So how is his performance there “even worse”?

For me, he was not very good at Marshall, and terrible at FAU (which is “even worse”).

But yeah, we agree on one thing it sounds like. If he ever sees the field, we’re in a lot of trouble.

I was already proven right. Did you see who committed?

Wait, the same Marsha that couldn't even field a bowl game team? Great program......LOL

Yeah, we can agree he is terrible

Yes, they couldn’t play a bowl game. Who cares, they lost their coach and that’s what happens.

They’ve made a bowl in 9 of their last 10 seasons, have been nationally ranked a couple of times in the last decade, won a couple of conference championships, beat ND at their place a couple of seasons back. That’s also ignoring their program’s successful history in the further past.

It’s not even an argument to say they’re a better program than FAU. Give me a break.
