UCF Transfer Portal Updates

This silly lil idiotic b**ch STILL continously makes backhanded comments towards UCF. "G5 fan." Yet some of you are stupid enough to still converse with him/them so he's yet to go away. Still posting here every single day.
Seriously, I thought once his punching bag Gus left he'd leave with him, but here he is still trashing our team and lol'ing our posts on a daily basis. I clicked ignore on Auburn Legacy a while ago and now Lobo's time has come. Tired of hearing him insult our team and fans.

How do you know all this? You don’t brother. He might very well develop into a great coach but he’s not qualified for the job NOW. There’s not one P4 or even G5 school (other than UCF) that would give the man a QB coaching job.

Maybe you guys believe that an entire staff, including the head coach, completely made up of guys that were working as analysts somewhere is a good idea? Let’s see who gets hired to coach the OL? I’ll bet is another failed coach working as an analyst.
You’re just a dork know it all. It didn’t work for Richt therefor it will never work out lol. . Your opinion is 💩

Pribula cancelled his Indiana visit after visiting Ole Miss ..looks like they may land him. It definitely isn’t a given he would win the starting job there. So we’ll see where Frost turns bc we need at least one more QB from whatever recruits are left from the February signing day or the portal

That’s pretty wild. If I was a QB trying to make the NFL, I’d go where I could start ASAP. Thought ole miss had that Simmons guy and he looks fantastic

Lane Kiffin had 3 QBs that could have started at the FBS level last season.

The SEC and Big 10 are cleaning up transfer portal talent because of $$.

we might blow smoke and talk about playing time and how that can get you to the NFL ... most of these guys know they aren't getting a sniff at the NFL and need to get that money now.

It’s sad to lose some of these guys, but I would take it every day (and twice on Sunday) to be rid of the most fraudulent coach in our program’s history. Never seen anyone do less with more.
Unfortunate thing is the reason Frost bounce the team back so quickly was he kept a lot of the players from GOL that were good.

In 2016, Frost had a strong reputation, was actively recruiting players when he came to UCF, bring his most important recruit from Oregon recruiting. This time around he hasn't recruited in two years, on top of that he has to talk about what he did 7-10 years ago to 18-20 year olds. Along with ignoring anything he did in Nebraska.

It will take longer for him to build himself back up.

This an informed take…rare for a UCF fan (no troll).

I mean, there’s one obvious difference. The first time around, it probably wasn’t hard for Frost to convince kids to stay in sunny Central Florida. There was no money pulling kids away.

Now NIL is pretty much the only thing that matters. Role, playing time, weather, culture - none of that is really part of Frost’s conversation to keep kids at UCF anymore. They will go to Lubbock, Minneapolis, West Lafayette, Fayetteville, etc. The bag is the only thing that matters, and we don’t have it.

If this same situation occured today, all those really good defensive players would have transferred out when the 2015 season ended. Coaching changes wreck rosters these days.

It's a crutch to say it's all NIL. Jefferson was paid substantially. Rj Harvey was not playing for free. There is always that sense that everyone that plays for UCF is doing it completely for free, recruits that choose UCF over other schools because they love UCF so much they don't care about money.

The stars of UCF past were not going to get offered bags of cash, they were guys that weren't on the radar.

Regardless, if it's 100% a money game. Just know that the leader for that is Mohajir. That may be why UCF head coach job was not seen as a big opportunity.

I’ve personally talked to players off the record that are still on the roster and have turned down multiple offers of more money elsewhere. I know that players don’t play for free here, but sometimes the offers can be twice the number elsewhere (or more). Everyone has a number/price that makes sense for them to stay or go.

And if you don’t think our “off the radar” past players wouldn’t have had bags thrown at them, I don’t know what to tell you. Gabe Davis? Richie Grant? Trysten Hill? Yeah, I don’t know about that.

This is so true, and every time some idiot announcer talks about our "huge" alumni base I want to throw something at the TV, because they aren't contributing jack squat.
The Strength in Numbers Alumni base will never beat a University having a Whale. This is why you are seeing players voluntarily leave Los Angeles for Lubbock, Texas which would seem insane just a few years ago.

It could, but I guess our alumni base is apathetic.
