UCF vs ECU crazy rumor

Playbook? Just watch film. Everyone runs similar plays. Just the names change. You would have to decode signs and tell defense simultaneously. Its pretty much impossible. If we were better we could yell what we were doing and then just do it.
You are correct, in the Dungeon several posters are looking at especially the UCF offensive miscues off of YouTube from the ECU game and they are seeing a ECU linebacker tell the other defensive guys what the play is being called, a run or pass. What is being discussed is they weren't given the playbook but what our sideline signals or cards are being held up was their indicator of what the play was going to be. In other words, ECU knew what plays we were calling from our sideline activities before the play happened. On several plays you can see the linebacker from ECU tell the other players what to do and what to expect.

Wow. If that’s true, it’s unbelievably concerning. The conference needs to investigate.

Knowing the playbook didn’t cause Ahlers to go 30/36 or for their running back to run all over us. We got whooped in all phases.
Usually the Middle LB calls the defensive plays. He tells them what to do. Urlacher always did it. Its based off of personnel and formation leading to tendencies.
It’s not complicated or a conspiracy. We played a road conference game and got our @sses handed to us. #9 Ok State got beat like 48-0 today…it was a road conference game.
Whether it is true or not, its not illegal to win because someone stole our playbook and call signals. If its true, it will ruin the GA's career as nobody will want to hire someone who sabotages their team if they are terminated.
Still wouldn’t explain our defense struggling.

Apparently it was a defensive assistant. That could explain Ahlers having a 90% completion ratio
Doesn't excuse a drop touchdown, fumbles, literally every jump ball ECU came down with. We got beat.
I still don’t buy it. I’m no football expert and was able to figure out that, if the guy is throwing the ball within 2 seconds almost every time, an 8 yard cushion wasn’t going to work.
Ahlers is 36. Give him some clue as to what defenders are doing and he can deliver the ball where we aint
Yes, the preliminary post said defensive signals but the information now being circulated around is that it was on both sides of the ball and involved both plays and signs / symbols that was given to them. It really makes sense if you connect the dots, re watch the game and you see both offensively and defensively UCF did the wrong maneuvers all game long and ECU did the correct maneuvers. However typically, that doesn't happen between when two upper tier teams play each other in the AAC - there is both good and bad plays and/or series by both teams in a give and take scenario during a game. This game was all take ECU and UCF looked completely off balance or off key.

Cheating cannot be tolerated regardless of whether it made a difference in the game. If it is true that really is bad news for ECU's reputation. But I don't think most ECU fans care as long as they won the game.
The terminated UCF coach was listed as graduate assistant coach for offense. But would have access to both offensive playbook and the defensive along with symbols or hand gesture terminology on both sides of the ball because GA coaches do a lot work with scout teams.
