Read about the unfortunate accident to your QB. Hope he is able to make a speedy recovery.

PITT will be hosting UCF at Heinz Field (9/21/19) and was curious as to your predictions to the games outcome (winner/ game score).

Good luck to you guys this season (exception Pitt game).

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Still didn’t know the starter for season even before this injury. Probably will be ND transfer but not written in stone. Prediction still same. Us in a close game. With Milton it would be a blowout. Hard to beat Pitt without good passing game.

Tough to make a prediction just yet. Is your running game going to be strong this year too?

Last year, we wore out your defense, and when your team had to try to score quickly, that’s when it got out of control.

If I’m forced to make a guess, I’d say we win by single digits.

Just ask your players not to fake injuries this year :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Milton wasn't particularly accurate that game. Our receivers were wide open or just flat out burned Pitt's defense. As long as the new QB is even an average passer, then UCF by 14 where Antonio Brown used to cry.

I think Pitt will be improved for the most part, particularly the D.

I think the biggest question mark for us will be the rebuilding of the OL.

Only one returning starter and a qrad transfer from Michigan who I think will start.

Therefore, will have to replace 3 OL with the 2nd team players. See how that goes.

I think our QB will be much improved now with 1 full year of QB experience under his belt.

I think Kenny Pickett has the ability and now the experience. Remember as a true frosh and soph with limited experience he was able to pull off upset wins against both Clemson and Miami. Additionally, we also have a new OC Mark Whipple who was the QB coach for the Steelers and coached Ben Roethlisberger when he arrived as a rookie QB with the Steelers.
Believe the game plan this year will be more balanced with less emphasis on the run game.

As far as speed, I think Pitt is now bringing that in with the addition of coach Charlie Partridge (prior HC at FAU). If you look at our commitment list for 2020 you will see Pitt has 16 recruits (current team ranking #26) with 11 of them South of the Mason Dixon Line including 6 Florida players (2 Rival 4-star and 4 Rival 3-star Florida recruits). Last year (2019) Pitt recruited 6 (Rival 3-star) Florida kids.

I think Pitt wins in a close game 28-24 if we have success with our rebuilt OL.

Enjoy the trip to Pittsburgh for anyone coming to the game.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Road games wins are irrelevant. Where am I drinking and what food do I need to try being in Pitt for 36 hours?

Great insight! Thank you!

Your team will need to score over 30 to beat us. We don’t score less than 30. If you can keep it competitive early I think you have a chance. When you fell behind to any team, y’all couldn’t catch up.

Ps, stop stealing 4 star Florida kids, it’s giving some of our posters serious FOMO because our rivals ranking isn’t high enough.

I’ve never disliked Pitt so good luck the rest of the way except for against us!

UCF road game wins are the cherry on top to an away trip. Camaraderie with old friends, seeing a new part of the country, eating like a local and being “in college” for 48 hours. If you win thats obviously a plus. You know what I mean.
Road games are totally amazing for all of those reasons, but when we lose it’s a tough trip back. Sucks actually

There is another thread where people give good eats and things to do.

What's the best place to eat downtown? :)

Well, we don't really know yet. The 5th year QB transfer from Notre Dame may be all that and some more :)
I like this optimism. Milton was great, but he also had great players around him. Tre Quan bailed him out constantly with his ability to catch any thing nearby and the O-line play has been really good these last two years and made crazy holes for the RBs. Hype doesn't go down field as much as This Place did. He likes to run. Wimbush with a 1000 yard running season and Heisman runner up...

Only for young whipper snappers. The ancient guys are used to road game disappointment.
I’m not that young and may not have attended as many road games as you or for as many years, but trust me, I have had my share of road loss disappointments. There have been a few recent ones as well.

Houston in 2016.
Stanford in 2015
The Fiesta Bowl last year
USF (not really a road trip) in 2007

The area around Heinz Field and PNC Park is new and there are many restaurants and bars to go to before and after the game (Jerome Bettis Grille,Tequila Cowboy, Hyde Park Restaurant (Upscale), Rivers Casino (multiple restaurants) to name just a few.)

Probably the best thing to do is just google Attractions, Hotels, Restaurants and Bars near Heinz Field.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

It's a straight up 50/50 until we see what Wimbush does in our offense. I think Wimbush will look like a man among boys in AAC play, but Pitt will be ready this time. They will be coming hard for that W after they got embarrassed. The game will be much closer than we think since it's a road game and having to play Stanford the week prior. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll be enough and the game will come down to a field goal.

34-31 Knights win.

I do think that Pittsburgh will be using the revenge factor. They DID get embarrassed

I was in Pitt for a conference a few years ago and ate here. It was decent; but I didn’t agree with all the hype. Still might go there when Dad and I head up there for the game though. He loves sandwiches.

It’s ok. You go for the history of it more than the food. There are better places to eat in Pittsburgh.

Personally I prefer the Fatheads Saloon in the south side.

Since we lost our Top 2 running backs from last year, I'll give you an update on who will be replacing them this year.

Pitt I think will be playing a trio of RB.

Anthony Davis, Rival 4-Star RB from Lakeland FL.
Michale Salahuddin, Rival 4-Star RB from Washington DC
Todd Sibley, Rival 3-Star RB from Akron OH

Their Back ups will include:

V'lique Carter, Rival 3-Star from West Palm Beach FL.
Vincent Davis, Rival 3-star RB from Fort Lauderdale FL.
Daniel Carter, Rival 3-star RB from Fort Lauderdale FL.

Ironic that 4 of our 6 RB are from Florida.

As I stated in a previous post, if Pitt can rebuild our OL we will have a more balanced attack (Run/Pass). From everything I have heard so far, things are going well with our new OC on board.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

We offered Carter. I think as a DB though. He went to Oxbridge. They had a guy named Homer who I think is at Miami. Good RB.
