UCF vs. Tulane in game thread

Where's all the optimistic clowns on the board at? Got anything else to say?

Only saving grace- no more running in the second half. Right???? Please no more running.

Don't worry, GOL will make some great halftime adjustments and we will come out strong.

We have to be down multiple TDs to open up the playbook beyond the run it up the gut page apparently.

UCFAA should refund every dime to every person who has spent money this year on our football program.
Why? Do we only pay for wins? Or better yet ... why are we only funding our facilities and student-athletes when we win? Is it really consumer-producer here?

I hate the playcalling too.

This team, its coaching staff, and everything associated with our football program is a hot, steaming, and stinking pile of complete garbage. I am sickened, shocked, saddened, and repulsed by how we have allowed a #10, BCS Bowl winning, and Conference Championship winning football team to fall from grace so hard and become an absolutely embarrassing laughing stock.

Love that shot of the coaches with their hands up and that look like they have no idea of what to do. KNIGHTS!

There isn't any speed on this team at all. There is no playmaking ability to get the ball, make someone miss, and take it for a big gain. In addition, we don't have the power to play a power football game by dominating the line of scrimmage and getting 3.5 yards and a cloud of dust. This team has NOTHING going for it. They are not athletic enough, physical enough, or properly prepared. You can have "down years" and you can have "rebuilding" years a decade into your program. You can't have catastrophic failures with no clue, and possibly no wins at all, which is what we're looking at here. What's the plan going forward to fix it with a coach with one foot out the door and his handpicked successor falling flat on his face in his audition??

I'm sure they discussed in the locker room getting the ball out of the halftime and establishing the run. Great plan!

Rant alert:
I agree that the coaching and playcalling is terrible, but I also am frusterated with the players (especially the lines, both offensive and defensive). They were going through the motions, the minute things started going Tulane's way thier effort dropped dramatically. Finally on that last drive they seemed to wake up. When adversity hits, that is when you need to step up the most, but our guys seemed to sulk. I watched a kickoff where we had blockers placed well to form a wall just to see a Tulane player fly past two or three of them to tackle our returner on the 15 yard line. All they had to do was step left or right a couple of feet to get in his way, but they seemed unaware of the green jersey running toward them. Our defensive line stands up and pushes and shoves but doesn't spin or cross to get pressure on their qb who has all day to throw on 3rd and long. I agree that it is stupid to run the ball this much but jeez, when we do our linemen pull but ignore the ends and linebackers knifing in to tackle our back for a loss. How about hitting one so our back can at least get back to the line of scrimmage, don't they like him? Did he hit on their girlfriends? Come on, show some pride, step up for your team mates.
OK, rant over (If anybody read this, thank you, it was quite theraputic for me)

Schneider looks good. Imagine if he had a run game and wasn't getting pressured on every drop back.

That's something you will never hear again, "this Tulane defensive line is teeing off!"

I thought we were supposed to see Wilson today. Not that it matters. Walter Payton couldn't run behind this line.

Worst team in college football, without a doubt, and that can't happen a decade into your program without it being a sign that things are completely rotten inside. Getting DESTROYED at Tulane, losing to FIU and Furman at home. GOL is done.
