Yes. With one caveat.

Obama was essentially arguing repeatedly to have Congress to pass laws to systematically remove rights granted to citizens under the 2nd Amendment. And he often made the argument that existing laws, in enforced, weren't good enough, something that was false.

Trump yesterday was basically arguing that a Federal Court Cicrcuit is needlessly blocking constitutional rights granted to the Executive.

Obama would politicize to try and shame the NRA or shame gun owners. Trump politicized really just to insist that the Executive has certain powers granted when it comes to National Security, a view supported by many legal experts who have looked at this issue.

Hence why this should go to the Supreme Court asap

Fair enough, that is a valid point that the politicization by Obama was obviously attempting to strip away Constitutionally protected right, where as the politicization done by Trump is much less obviously attempting to strip away Constitutionally protected rights (as you said that's up to the supreme Court to decide). While I still believe both attempted to push their own agenda on the back of a tragedy, I did not think of the Constitutional rights aspect. Thanks.

I have no clue what else you rambled about which had nothing to do with this thread.

I now realize that outside of your first post in this thread, you do not want to discuss the topic of this thread, the terror attack in London.

And as much I appreciate your incredibly insightful commentary on what happened, given the fact that I was a couple hundred yards away from this shit at a pub in Soho then Liverpool Street station minutes before it was turned into a triage station, I don't particularly need your obviously biased views, especially if you can't admit that Trump blatantly used this to push his political agenda just as Obama used every tragedy before him to do the same.

I am just glad we didn't take in the 1 mil Hillary wanted to do. Even if 98% would have been good citizens, we still would have brought in 20k terrorist.

For those that have never seen the complete video of the Psycho Car Attack from Time Square, just look what one person can do to any area that has a lot of pedestrians.

Dozens were injured and one teenage girl was killed and only a security barrier at the end was reason why more were not killed/injured.

I do feel naked with my shitty little 1 7/8 pocket knife. But you can buy a 12" kitchen knife at a Tesco on any corner. More stupid laws getting people killed.

Sadly, as more info comes out of London...its the same story over and over again:

1) Terrorist were known to police, especially the "ring leader" who actually did a documentary for Ch 4 (London) last year on their desire to install Sharia Law in England and how their group was one of the most "dangerous" targeted potential terror groups in the area.

2) Neighbors knew about at least one of their "hatred" for non-Muslims...as British National tonight (East London neighborhood was mostly Muslim), said she would hear him talk about how it should be death to all Muslims and how he would kill his own Mom if she rejected Islam.

One came from Pakistan while another was said to claim he was Moroccan & Lybian.

Update: An 8th victim, tourist from France, who had been missing since the attack, was found in the Thames River last night. He and his girlfriend were walking on the bridge when they were hit by the van and while his girlfriend was severely injured, he has been missing since as family hoped he would have shown up in some hospital.

Also, a man from Spain was another of the original stabbing victims, died while saving the life of a woman who was being attack.

Most of the victims were not British (several from Australia, Frsnce, Spain and Canada).

The 3rd terrorist was identified as a 22 yr old Italian National from Morroco, who was well known to Italian authorities for his terroristic views.

Great story of bravery where on pub goer took on all 3 knife wielding terrorists with his bare hands. He ended up being severely injured and is still hospitalized after surgery.

When terrorist were yelling: "Allah! Allah! Islam! Islam!", this 47 yr old Londoner yelled back while fighting with them "F- that! I'm Milwall!" (London Football Club).

Also, his friends have an unique sense if humor when they presented him with a specific magazine after he got out of surgery.
