South Florida men's basketball coach Amir Abdur-Rahim, 43, died during a medical procedure Thursday at the age of 43, the school said.

I remember his brother in NBA. Both guys were decent. Probably has kids 20 and under. Terrible to go unexpectedly like this. What surgury was he doing?
We dont know the details, but why was he having a brain tumor operated on 5 days before the season opener? Guess it was a sudden emergency.
I’m hoping it was operate now or it could be dire. The details could change perspective. Would be tragic if anesthesia caused it or a mistake by staff during procedure.

just remembered that his wife went to UCF…think I mentioned it in the lead up to our NIT game vs USF
kennesaw state are the owls. that's who he lead to the NCAA tournament before getting the USF job soon after.
