Your stat is a bit misleading since it includes people under 12 who cannot get a vaccine. In reality the percentage of eligible people who have received a dose of the Covid vaccine is currently at 73% in DC. Even using your 56% number, it is higher than any state that voted for Trump in the 2020 election. There are different reasons people are hesitant. Minorities are hesitant as well. But the gap between democrats and republicans in vaccination rate is roughly 35%. In fact if you rank all states plus DC in vax rate, you have to scroll to #22 to find a state that went red in 2020

Where did I say anything about owning conservatives? I thought you were looking for the exact data I provided. There is clearly an issue with getting some groups vaccinated. This includes minorities and conservatives. That doesn’t mean if you are a minority or conservative you are anti-vax. But to ignore that there is an issue in these groups does nothing to provide the targeted outreach to these groups to increase vaccination rates. Outreach that Desantis has been doing.
