What's funny is that this is essentially what AOC's insane Green New Deal called for and wanted. She admitted as much when she tweeted (then deleted) how thrilled she was that thousands of US oil workers were going to be out of a job. The GRD basically called for the immediate destruction of our economy and an overnight ban on fossil fuels and basic commerce.

At least now everyone got a glimpse of what it'd take to implement such an insane plan. Only the utter annihilation of the world economy, historic unemployment, and a break down of basic societal norms.

Other than that, totally feasible.
