Exciting headline and intro paragraph, but not too thrilled with the details...

"It's not clear what effect — if any — the default will have on Russia's economy in the near term... But in the long term, Russians will almost certainly suffer" <-- "almost certainly", I hate when supposedly objective articles turn to "opinion" pieces... I hope this is a true statement, but I don't want a projection from a person that takes 4 years of English Lit... Do your job and get a specialist's opinion
