GOL certainly didn't build the foundation all by himself (Gene McDowell deserves a lot of the early credit), but he was the most transformative in building and modernizing UCF into a nationally-respected program in almost every area possible (the team itself, support staff, academics, facilities, etc.).
Yeah, 2015 was 2015, but does UCF get in the Big 12 without him? While Scott Frost added perhaps the most-important piece in KZ, does UCF have the success they did in 2017-18 without the key GOL recruits?
