Exactly. Democrats won't just lose Warnock, they will lose black voters who will go back to not voting in Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta...

Democrats have an enormous opportunity to fix the wrongs of the last 40 years. I have ZERO confidence they will do it, because they are still being paid by the same lobbyists to NOT do it.

They need to raise taxes on the upper 1%, eliminate the cap on Social Security to secure its future, invest in infrastructure and education, support laborers and small businesses, and (somehow) cut government spending in many areas.

Yeah, a "popular Republican" would have won. Talk about a strawman.

But I do agree that she was a terrible candidate. But both of Georgia's GOP candidates were caught red-handed using their confidential senate update on covid to enrich themselves on the stock market. But in this day and age of Trump politics, I guess that wasn't a biggie.

I tend to agree. I think they assumed it's Georgia all we have to do is put up a red wet sock with a big "R" on it to win. They did not account for Stacey Abrams. GOP got complacent.
I'll say Perdue was flawed as well at least from a ethics stand point. If he had not traded on privileged information he likely would of won. And of course the orange man did not help.

If Perdue and Loeffler had both campaigned on the 2000 dollar check being necessary they both would have won. Nobody really cares about the insider trading thing. The stimulus checks were the single biggest unifying position out there and they were on the wrong side of it. Had they had a unifying message of 5000 dollar checks and put forth an amendment to the bill for that they would have won by double digits.

Hmmm I don't know. I think Perdue could have made better choices and won. Loeffler was just a bad candidate who did not excite anyone. She was a Robot... I don't know who changes their vote over the $2000 dollars. The more I think about it I think This was an anti Trump result...

Looks like we will have an interesting experiment over the next 2 year. Lets see if socialism here works better than every where else it has been tried. Usually leads to less freedom, more poverty, and more dominion voting machines.
