Whew. Just rejoice yall

I'm sure everyone will be watching the gator-fsu game coming up. For a celebration, everytime ESPN mentions this News of Gus moving over to FSU....DRINK...

Cheers and Bottom's Up!

I'm kind of hoping FSU beat the Gators tonight but really don't care either way. Some great football so far today and more to come tonight. Go College Football!

At the minimum the buyout is reduced by the income that he brings in at his new job. Hopefully it’s even more.

He quit. He owes the buyout.
I would be shocked if he pays any money to get out of the contract. Frankly, I’m shocked that we didn’t pay any money to get him out of the contract. I’m actually ecstatic with the results.
I understand what you’re saying and if you go by what happened and the contract, you are right. I doubt it went down like that, though behind the scenes. I could see u go your way we go our way that’s it, no transaction monies. It’s a big win for us n great job by administration getting those results

That’s what worries me. Did Terry make some type of deal to make a Malzahn-approved hire?!?
If Terry made a "deal" with Gus for his replacement, TikTok needs to be fired. This is an opportunity to bring in a new HC who has a great record, reputation, recruits and assistants who will join him. That's the only move that is acceptable. Otherwise, Terry goes....remember, he hired Gus, extended him and is responsible for this mess.

This is a ridiculous conspiracy theory. Crazy. I hope they keep Harris ( as a positional coach assistant HC) if they can keep the recruits but NO WAY is he gonna be the HC.

I still don’t think initially the hiring of Gus was a mistake. He just over stayed his usefulness.

It's been a wasted 4 years....we not only made no progress we digressed. That's a mistake. Period.

I wouldn't go that far. I think Gus made a lot of headway in terms of recruiting and helped usher in the Big12 transition.

He was the right hire at the time. Lets hope we can get a coach who is more media friendly and doesn't make boneheaded decisions on/off the field.

This was another gift for UCF.

We had a Coach and A.D. leave right in the middle of recruiting season initially. I think that Gus was the right hire at the time, but again he overstayed his time Great job getting out of the contract with no blood stain Charge on

A coach being "media friendly" is the last thing I would think about being important in a good coach.
I just prefer a coach who is more open. Watching Gus speak over the years has turned me into a zombie. He was easy to tune out.

Obviously, wins are the #1 priority though.

He seemed to always talked down to people. Like his word was gospel, and everybody else was ill informed.

When he was asked a question that he didn’t like, he would answer it in a way that he thought he was insulted by the question and would move on immediately.

I think he really sees himself as this offensive genius. Doesnt help when espn claims this as well.
