US Police Kill More Civilians In March Than UK Police Killed In 100 Years

A new report by ThinkProgress.com unearthed disturbing figures when it came to the number of police-related deaths that occurred in America in the month of March alone.

Just last month, in the 31 days of March, police in the United States killed more people than the UK did in the entire 20th century. In fact, it was twice as many; police in the UK only killed 52 people during that 100 year period.

According to the report by ThinkProgess, in March alone, 36 more than the previous month.

This high number in March increased the average for police killings from every 8.5 hours, to nearly 1 police killing every 6.5 hours in the US.

China, whose population is 4 and 1/2 times the size of the United States, recorded 12 killings by law enforcement officers in 2014.
On average, US police kill people at a rate 70 times higher than any of the other first world countries as they "protect and serve" the American citizens.

lol of course Think Progress uses China as a glowing example.

I mean, attackers in China have killed 30-60 people at a time in train stations, schools, malls, etc but hey- no cops killed them so let's report it!

Just last year 30 people were knifed to death at a train station in China.

Oh it also served as a nice excuse for Chinese cops before they were issued guns in August last year:

"In the past, police were praised for daring to confront criminals without firearms, he said. And whenever bad guys got away or a situation spiraled out of control, police could always fall back on the excuse that they were unarmed, unlike police in many countries."

North Charleston Police Dept ordered 250 body cameras yesterday...and I'm sure other police depts all over the country are doing the same.

Here's what that Body Camera Sales Rep will be doing with his commission at year's end, buying:

Seriously, anyone know what equities I should be investing in to take advantage of this surge in body cameras?

I read somewhere that the company that makes tazers is also making moves to be the company for body cameras. Might want to look into it.

Pro Vision and Taser are the main players. But you're too late- the major stock gains were already taken last year.

Once the major PDs have placed their orders, that growth will come to a hault. It's a one and done type product.

It might not be just one time deals. If these companies are smart, they will sell the software and licensing fees that go with the cameras. Just something to think about.

Which is not nearly as lucrative as $300/unit body cameras which are the main piece of equipment.

That's like selling 250 pistols and then getting orders for magazines and recoil springs.
