As I get to thinking about it, it really doesn't make that much sense. Supposedly it's because of what happened on January 6th, but we are told that he inciting the mob while he was giving the speech, not that he coordinated it over social media.

So other than the generic "he's dangerous" claims, why is he banned?

I wonder if they are worried about being sued like Fox News and the pillow guy. I have to believe Trump on the platform will generate more revenue.

He doesn't need Twitter when he can just post his thoughts directly to his website. If I'm being honest with myself, I've actually missed laughing at his posts.

Funny that wasn't an issue with the 2020 summer of lefties riots on a nightly basis. All the crap that Maxine Waters incited as an example. Or even the vice president involved with bailing out criminals with the insurrections of the summer.
None of them have/had the following of DJT. There was a direct causation between DJT's tweets and the 1/6 invasion of the Capitol. This isn't a single issue, DJT has violated the user agreements dozens of times. You or I would not have had so many second chances.

Ted Cruz showed what a steaming pussy he really is when he let Donald Trump talk like that to him. I would have beat that orange folker’s got damn ass right in front of God and everybody on the stage that night. Election be damned. Period.
Yep. He definitely got cucked. I lost ALL respect I had for Ted Cruz at that moment, same for Lindsey Graham and socialist Brian Kemp.

It’s because the communist Democratic Party runs Facebook, etc like its state run media. Aka China, North Korea, etc. Look how they portrait Biden like he’s something other than a weekend at Bernie’s dead body being propped up

Conservatives pre-election: Private corporations should be free to run their own damn companies as they see fit without the government telling them what they can or cannot do.

Conservatives post-election: Uh, unless those private corporations are Facebook and Twitter and they decide to ban Donald Trump for continually pushing 'The Big Lie.' That's unfair and makes them "lefty propaganda machines." 🙄

The ban really doesn't make sense.

All Melania had to do was hide his cellphone with the fruits and vegetables, and Trump would have been off social media forever.

Sure you would have.

Which do you prefer?

Which do you prefer?
The same Republican Party that decreed through the SCOTUS in the Citizens United case that "Corporations are people too" which opened the flood gates to political spending NOW wants corporations to stay the hell out of politics? WTF?

Screw principles with today's 'conservative' yahoos, it's pretty clear it all depends on which side of your bread is buttered.

Doesn't remotely have the same reach.

Here are two (2) very anti-Trump journalists (one Bernie supporter, and former Democratic candidate for Northern Virginia, the other an anti-Trump conservative) that continues to warn that Facebook and social media have absolute control in 'canceling' people.

Trump is the least of our concerns, but he is the biggest example of why it's wrong.
