Will Nova be the highest ranked...

Kirk went to the Big Dance 4 times, mostly 16th seeds so would play #1 seeds. Once we play against Big Dog Glenn Robinson and another against UMass back in the mid-1990s. They were both ranked real high. We played and beat defending national champ UConn in a fall tourney in the Bahamas in 2010. Our first year in the AAC, it was one of the best leagues in the nation and Louisville and UConn were high ranked. Don't know if Memphis was ranked when Keith beat them here when we were still in C-USA. Of course, under Donny we beat good UF and Miami teams pre-probation.
Looked it up: 1996, UMass was #1, lost 92-70 after staying close during the first half
1994, Purdue, #3 ranked, lost by 31, Robinson nation's leading scorer
2004, Pittsburgh (UCF 14th seed)
2005, UConn, defending national champs, lost 77-71

If UCF wins tonight, it would be the highest ranked team UCF has ever beat in Basketball.

Back in Nov 2011, UCF then beat #4 UCONN in the Semi-Final of the Battle of Atlantis for the program's biggest win over a ranked team.

That UConn game was fun to watch. I can't wait for us to get back to big wins. At least Donnie was an improvement in that area.

And had we a day off before the finals (like we do today), those tired legs wouldn't have miss a couple dozen free throws against Harvard.
