That's part of it. The other part is how the left and right both constantly whine about how congress does nothing but obstruct. The only logical conclusion is that the alternative is to have a benevolent dictator, so I was curious if people felt that Obama would have fit that description. There's little point in even asking about Trump right out of the gate on a topic like this.
Congress was built to be obstructive. It was part of the controls the founders built in to contain a strong federal government. It was always meant to be such that only the most important things got passed through. That’s why both the people and the states had a say. Now it’s just the people and we’ve thrown away most of the protections against a populist using the mob in a pseudo-dictatorship.
Only Republicans are obstructionists. Didn't you get that memo? Democrats want a dictatorship, whether that means 535 of them all agreeing or just 1 that does the bidding.
