Thursday October 10 UCF Campus status. 26 pictures (Baseball/Softball controversy)

Hello everyone, I drove out to our UCF Campus today, October 10 to check out our status. I took over 30 pictures but will post only 26.

For the most part our campus did really well. Power is on and there are no blaring obvious problems. There are situations that you will see in the pictures that tell the story.

In a quick theoretical statement I would say we should be able to play our Football game Saturday.

First off I hope all of you made it through the storm ok. I know reading through the thread detailing the Hurricane that people have had damage and are without power. The rest of us in the Dungeon are wishing you the best in overcoming those bummer situations!!!…

Big 12 Conference launches “Big 12 Studios”, league’s first-ever 24/7 FAST channel, in partnership with Raycom Sports

September 20, 2024 - CHARLOTTE & DALLAS – Today, the Big 12 Conference and Raycom Sports launched Big 12 Studios, a new programming and content venture designed to expand and enhance the league’s storytelling efforts.

Big 12 Studios will create and deliver original programming and content to fans as a FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) channel across multiple major platforms, including planned launches on leading platforms early this Fall that will be announced soon, as well as major VOD platforms such as YouTube. Select programming from Big 12 Studios will also air across local TV stations throughout multiple Big 12 Conference markets, which include Gray Media’s Arizona’s Family Sports Network in Phoenix and Tucson, KSMO in Kansas City, and KMYL in Lubbock, Texas.

Big 12 Studios will feature a variety of programming, such as in-game footage, highlights from recent contests, replays of historic Big 12 Conference showdowns, and in-depth expert analysis. Original content will include profiles of current and former Big 12 Conference student-athletes, highlighting their stories on and off the field.

Big 12 Studios will also feature a weekly show, Inside the 12, which will be distributed on air in addition to the FAST channel and VOD platforms such as YouTube. Hosted by Pete Sousa and Madison Hock, this weekly preview show kicks off this fall, focusing on showcasing the upcoming weekend’s full slate of Big 12 football games. Following football season, Inside the 12 will evolve to spotlight and preview additional Big 12 sports.

“We are thrilled to partner with Raycom Sports to launch the league’s first-ever 24/7 channel,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “Storytelling is at the forefront of everything we do and is a key part of our narrative and brand building efforts. Through Big 12 Studios, we have the capability to showcase our brand and deliver original programming to fans across the country.”

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to build new platforms with the Big 12 Conference” said Hunter Nickell, Chief Executive Officer of Raycom Sports. “It’s an exciting new chapter for Raycom Sports to bring Big 12 schools, athletes, and stories to their fans wherever they want it.”

The partnership brings Raycom Sports’ 45+ year history in producing and syndicating college sports programming for television, digital and social media platforms together with the Big 12’s powerful brands and championship history. Raycom Sports’ and the Big 12 Conference’s relationship spans back to the 1980s, when Raycom produced games for the Conference during its days as the Big Eight.

Raycom Sports is owned by Gray Media, which is the largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets in the United States. Gray serves 113 television markets that collectively reach 36 percent of US television households.

"Booster" Pull at UCF

Top "boosters" run or at least have a say in how most blue-blood CFB programs are run, but I am genuinely curious how much pull top donors at a program at UCF's level have. Some replies to a tweet from notable UCF donors make me wonder how much thought is given to their input. Curious on any insight into the program currently and under previous regimes. Talking specifically around top 10/15 donors. My question being how responsive is the current regime to top donors at a program at UCF's size.

Remember the slogan…

UCF, the FUTURE of College Football:

I know I bought into it, including giving towards The Kingdom.

Ironically, it couldn’t be more opposite. Gus runs an EXTINCT, ancient, boring, predictable High School offensive scheme which only requires WR’s who can block , go up for 50/50 sideline routes and an oversized average passing QB who can be used as an additional RB.

Defensively he has NO interest. As proven by bringing in a previous Graduate Assistant who had ZERO experience as a DC who failed miserably. Only to keep him on staff while adding another Old friend who has been fired by multiple previous schools.

Unfortunately we’re stuck with it as our AD extended his contract as a friend NOT an employer. We should be good for 8-4, 7-5 each season with a CFB rank around 30 year to year. But always remember UCF is the Future of College Football!

Demand Jacurri Brown - Attn: Donors/kingdom

Jacurris performance as a Knight and highlights at Miami even as a freshman demonstrate he should have been our starter day 1.

I will boldly say that we would be 5-0 right now had he started.

This has to be brought to the forefront ASAP. This is no longer a UCF fan base that expects a build. We expect performance.

Jacurri gives us a chance to win games. KJ can’t do that under duress.

I am humbly asking major donors to make this specific demand if UCF wants your money. It’s a two- way street and you have to be willing to demand the program out other players and fans first. Not one coach or one player. KJ needs to sit .

REPORT: Can UCF bounce back against rival Cincinnati

There are still many unknowns about the ability to play this game based on Hurricane Milton, however the UCF Knights are trying to stay prepared and focused.

Head Coach Gus Malzahn and players know that they will have to bring a better effort than they have recently if they want to beat conference rival Cincinnati.

Check it out here ... from the Sons of UCF.

NCAA to Modify Fall and Spring Transfer Portal Windows

for football anyway.

"Under the proposal, football players could only enter the portal during a 30-day window that begins after the completion of conference championship games, which, this year, is Dec. 9-Jan. 7. Under the current transfer policy, players can also enter the portal from April 16-30.

The proposal would eliminate the April window. If players enter the portal outside of the established windows, they are not eligible to play immediately at their next school barring the granting of an NCAA waiver. The change would come on the heels of another alteration in the portal windows, limiting the window from 45 to 30 days
