I pick offensive line. We really need a strong offensive line for the Gus Bus to roll. Investing there should really help our passing and running game.

I know we are after Khurtiss Perry but realistically he is probably going to end up at Alabama.
We processed Malachi Madison and Nick James has eliminated us from what I understand, so who is left?
Stud DT’s may be the hardest position to recruit because all the big boys gobble them up.
I like our 2 DE commits but we could use at least one top notch DT. I guess we may have to rely on the transfer portal.
Khurtiss Perry sure would be the cherry on top of this best class ever.

That South End Zone has seen some of the best UCF Defensive stands in late game moments.

Some that I was thinking last night:

Overtime INT to secure Southern Miss victory.

Last second stand as Houston got within the 10 yd line and had multiple shots in the end zone.

OT Defensive Stand vs BYU (Thanks @RoverKnight)

(80% sure on this one...not 100%) Defensive Stand vs Memphis in 2017 AAC Champ Game....as Memphis missed last second FG for the win...and then in OT, after UCF scored a TD...UCF intercepted Memphis QB and sealed the win and title.

Add last night's stand at the 3 yd line in UCF victory lore.

PS. Are there any others that come to mind? Maybe @Brandon has a better memory than me.

We have had a lot of good news in the last 12 months, but it has also been a lot of swirl.

One person I think we owe a lot to is KZ.
He became a fan hero and a National story. Bringing him home would be another National story and he would be a great player to give a shot as an analyst. Who here would support bringing home KZ? I for one think it would be good for our fanbase too.

Several people are claiming they’ve heard from some who are close to our program DG wants to transfer. Supposedly, there’s bad blood between him and Gus over Louisville and his injury or something along those lines? Has anyone heard these rumors? Really hoping they’re bs. if they’re true, we’re in a ton of trouble.

My two cents on next year. With DG gone, I think the team will really rally around MK and TC. I fully expect Keene to be the starter next season. He did a very serviceable job this year filling in for DG, and many of the mistakes he made could be chalked up to lack of experience. TC may be the more talented of the two, but he will still be a freshman, and not sure if he needs time to adapt to college speed. But either way, I do think that Gus would find ways to get TC into games in order to get him some valuable experience.

I think our defense will continue to improve, and will be creating all sorts of havoc on opposing offenses next year. We may not be seeing the 30+ points on a regular basis that we saw under Frost/Heupel, but we won't need to with the way our defense will be shutting down other teams. Get used to a lot of 24-10 type of wins.

I think we have a pretty decent chance to get back into the NY6 next year. Not as an undefeated team - but as a solid 10-2 or maybe even 9-3 team. I don't see Boise bouncing back next year. Our primary competition for NY6 will likely come from San Diego State, or if someone out of the Sunbelt or CUSA runs the table with an undefeated record.
