Among the litany of issues—explored by SI in earlier this week—the calendar and scheduling of games is the most complicated and needs to be tackled before the rest. While officials remain mum on specifics, several options are on the table, including a shift in the regular-season schedule.

In this concept, the official start of the season (Week 1) would move up to Week 0, thus shifting up the calendar by a week and expanding a tight December window in which to play the 11 playoff games. In this scenario, Rivalry Week would move into the third week of November and conference title games would kick off on Thanksgiving Week.

Interesting week weatherwise as we are still in this very damp period with rain expected till midweek but then the Hurricane way out in the Atlantic will suck a lot of our moisture away for Thursday and Friday....but come Saturday, we might be back in our normal summer rain pattern...all dependent on just how far East the Hurricane will be and/or if it speeds up or slows down.

I watched App State taking on Troy at the end of the game. I was expecting a miracle. And miracle did happen.

American already has Charlotte and their football product is horrible this season. At least, App State can out play all the new 6 members to American.

If App State keeps it going, I am seeing them challenging for a NY6 Bowl bid next to Coastal Carolina plus the American Champ.

App State has been successful for a handful seasons now and they do invest in football.

Their fan support is way better than FAU or even usf

Should American go after them once we leave for Big 12?

Sadly, this is not even the first time it's happened.

"The woman "posted threats of violence" on the Yik Yak app before the game, stating that "if the football team did not win the game, (she) was going to detonate the nuclear reactor that is located in the University of Utah causing a mass destruction," according to a police booking affidavit.

Police note in their affidavit that the student does have knowledge of the nuclear reactor and "is aware of where the reactor is located and attends class in the same building where the reactor is housed."

The arrest comes just a few weeks after a 19-year-old U. student was arrested for investigation of the same crime after he also allegedly used the Yik Yak app to make a bomb threat directed at the Spencer Fox Eccles Business Building. When that student was arrested he said the alleged threats were a joke and that he had no intention of carrying out the threat."

So it wasn’t just the fans who left because Gus can’t run an offense to save his life, but also it appears his “program” is turning off donors as well.
