OT: ACC Player Dismissed from Team Due to Prior Gambling Situation

Another topic the NCAA and college teams have to watch out for...players gambling...

“Gambling watchdog company U.S. Integrity sent out an alert to casinos Thursday regarding unusual wagering activity on the UAB Blazers-Temple Owls men’s basketball game, the American Athletic Conference confirms to Sports Illustrated,” Forde said in an article in March. “The betting line moved significantly during the day Thursday leading up to the game. At one casino, the line moved from UAB as a 1.5-point favorite over Temple at the beginning of the day to UAB as an eight-point favorite by mid-afternoon, then settling at seven closer to tip-off. The Blazers routed the Owls, 100–72, in Temple’s home gym, the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.”

Big 12 Radio leaves Sirius XM, moves to TuneIn

Not sure if this has been reported anywhere else (I can't find anything), but Fitz who covers K-State says Sirius XM is shutting down the Big 12 and ACC channels.

As a Sirius subscriber, I enjoyed listening to Big 12 coaches shows and occasionally their daily shows. It was also a consistent spot to find live programming during FB and MBB seasons, and occasionally baseball.

50 yards when you need 4?

I stayed off for a couple of days so this may have been discussed.

I don’t know if these plays had other options and Brown just made bad choices or if they were just bad play calls. But the longer the pass, the lower the completion percentage is going to be, no matter who the QB is, throw a green QB with very few starts in the mix and that goes down even further.

Taking a shot on first or second down great no problem. Taking a shot on third and short if you are planning on going on forth OK. At least 3 times we took shots on third and 4-5 and ended a drive. Why? Get them damn 4 yards, then take a shot. Also on the final drive we do exactly the opposite. We have 3rd and 9 and throw 2 and expect our receiver to make the rest with his legs.

Like I said I know most plays have multiple receivers and maybe Brown just chose wrong but man I had to wonder. Also if he was even a little more accurate a couple of those long passes were open, he just missed them.

On a bright note, defense actually seems to be getting better every game,
