2024-25 college football bowl game schedule, scores, TV channels, matchup information

I'm certainly not in favor of going in too heavy with one league, but so far the playoff has been pretty boring and I don't think there is any question some other teams would have been more competitive, hopefully the last 2 games today are better.
75% of the previous playoff games were blow outs too. There needs to be a clear path for all FBS teams to win a championship at the beginning of every season.

looks like that path will now be lined with 3-4 games against the top of the SEC/B1G who make 3x your revenue in a pay to play sport.

I think what the problem that everyone is missing is, is that they expanded the playoff too much. I don't have any issues saying Bama, Ole miss, sc, etc didn't deserve to be in, but neither did smu or Indiana. It should be 6 teams. The P4 conference champs, highest ranked g5 team and one at large team.
No they didn’t

It’s college football there were blowouts when it was a 4 team ‘invitational’ and back during the BCS too

The easiest and most non controversial path is for it to basically be conference champions. Doing it that way would also make conference championship games defacto playoff games which would make them even more important.

It's not just about the blowouts, obviously there is no system that can guarantee their aren't blowouts but does anyone really think IU or SMU were one of the 12 best teams? No they don't, and neither were conference champions either. Why are we inviting non championship teams to a playoff we all basically know they have no chance in winning? College football isn't a sport built on parity and their is no reason to pretend it is.

Let’s just cancel the season and crown the Champion based on point spreads then

CFB is the only sport where media, fans, etc actively root for the Sport to be more exclusionary. The SEC and their whining is going to kill this Sport if they get their way.

Clemson at Texas turned fun late , Clemson not getting in at the 1 around the 7 minute mark was game. Klubnik style wise reminds me of KZ

There is nothing exclusionary about it. IU SMU etc have every chance to win their conference and/or schedule tough ooc games as anyone else. The only reason people argue they should be in is because they think its a good storyline, but at the end or the day neither had enough quality wins to really prove they were one of the 12 best teams. IU played 2 ranked teams all year, and got blown out by both. Their ooc schedule was FIU, western Illinois, and charlotte. SMU had the 64th toughest schedule and their best win was probably louisville, which is a decent win, but probably not good enough to earn a playoff spot. And again, I'm not saying it should only be big 10 or sec teams, but I do think it should be teams that at least have some quality wins.

maybe December road games are tough in 20 degree weather regardless of what conference the team is in

They need to stop Conference Championship Games and having divisions. 1 conference, round robin play, top 2 from each P4 make it. Top 2 G5 and then 2 at large. ND most years and the best 3rd place team left. SEC or B1G can get the 3rd team most often.

the only non-blue bloods left, Arizona State and Boise State.

Long odds, but I hope those two are matched up in the Championship game.

But, it's probably going to be Oregon all the way.

Pop Tarts bowl trophy is badass lol.
We’ve got to get to this game one day instead of playing in Tampa or Boca.
