FSU and Clemson have accepted and will sign the settlement tomorrow. Miami and UNC the biggest winners as those programs will benefit like FSU and Clemson without getting dirty and suing the conference.

As part of the settlement…the total buyout for a program to leave the ACC drops from $200M to $100M after the 2029-2030 season.

There will be more conference realignment after the 2029-2030 season because the Big 10 TV deal will also expire.

You can be sure that top TV draws in the Big 12 are going to want a similar conference revenue distribution structure. Not hard to predict where programs like UCF and Cincinnati will fall.

The top ten Big 12 programs…TV viewership in 2024:

1. Colorado
.
.
.
.
.
2. Kansas State
3. Kansas
4. Utah
5. BYU
6. Oklahoma State
7. Iowa State
8. West Virginia
9. Arizona
10. Baylor

FYI:

UCF needs to spend money in the Spring portal and grab some quality guys at WR. TV numbers were terrible last year…No UF or Colorado on the 2025 means a huge drop in TV views if the product on the field is poor once again.

Title of this forum is: UCF Fan Forum

Why do we care about this?
Because this AFFECTS all of college football? You think that sticking your head in the sand will make everything OK?

There’s a HUGE revenue gap between the SEC/Big 10 and the ACC/Big 12. The brand programs that bring more value will want more money. That’s not an opinion but what is happening.

Let me go google and see what the Big East is doing right now. The Pac12..oops. Uh, Conference USA. Every conference has news items. What the ACC does has no impact on Big12 or UCF Fan Forum, nor is that a topic for this forum. We really don't care about the canes or miami history or really anything about the acc conference. Good for you though on talking about off topics on THE UCF FAN FORUM.

Maybe go try this on a national college football forum. This one is kind of regional.

Are you really THAT slow Dave? Best not answer. This is a huge event that entails college football. Nobody cares about what any G5 conference is doing btw.

Tiered revenue distribution is coming to ALL the conferences…SEC and Big 10 included. This is not a matter of IF but of WHEN. The ACC is the first major conference to go to a revenue distribution where the “brands” aka the programs that drive TV viewership get more revenue is implemented.

You don’t think this is relevant news? Get your head out of the sand.

The fact of the matter is that UCF has terrible TV numbers. You think that legacy Big 12 programs are good with UCF or UC? I can tell you that they are not. I am telling you that UCF needs to get some dudes on the Spring portal (spend money) to have a viable product on the field or the TV numbers will continue to be terrible.

*YAWN*

If I wanted to chat about the acc I would be on an acc forum. Not a UCF Fan Forum.

Me being slow or not is immaterial, Read the room dude.
