Having 4 all-conference teams is just ridiculous. If I was a player on the 4th team All-AAC I wouldn't even list that as an accolade. 2 at the conference level is all you need. Nationally, sure go 3-4 deep. Not conference.

If you are a Freshman or Sophomore, you don’t think being the 3rd or 4th best in AAC is good?

point as a freshman. As a sophomore, no chance. Not for 4th team. Maybe 3rd. Just my opinion. It just looks silly and along the lines of a "participation trophy"

I really appreciate that for the fourth team defense they just said "Screw it", and added 2 extra positions.

I gues it does seem silly if I think about the 4th team the same as the 1st team... But if we're using this as a familiar framework to rank players in the conference to 4 deep I totally get it.

UCF had 17 football players named to the preseason Athlon Sports All-American Athletic Conference teams.

The Knights led all AAC teams in selections followed by Memphis (13), Cincinnati (13), Tulane (12), Navy (10), Temple (10), East Carolina (9), Houston (7), SMU (7), Tulsa (7) and USF (6).
