Per Juan Toribio --
I've been trying to hold it off until after the game, but at this point everybody knows what's going on.
Saturday will be the last game Scott Frost coaches at UCF. The decision has been made, and it had been made for quite some time now. Frost has already talked to his staffers, but has yet to tell his team because he doesn't want them to think about it during Saturday's game.
I'm told that the ultimate decision was made because Frost wants to be the coach that turns Nebraska into the powerhouse that they were when he played there in the 90's. He enjoyed turning UCF around so much, that he feels he can do the same for his alma mater. Not everyone is happy with moving to Lincoln, but this just felt like his destiny.
While the players don't know for sure, most of them are aware of what's going on. Shaquem Griffin and Rory Coleman held a players-only meeting on Tuesday after two "horrible" practices, according to sources. Coleman had a lot to say to the team, mostly just telling them that it doesn't matter who the coach is, they're really close to winning a ring. After the talk, the team has responded with three good practices and they look ready to go for Saturday's game. We'll see if that translates on to the field against a very good Memphis team.
But back to Frost.
The two questions now are: when does Frost tell the team and who on the staff does he take with him?
While I'm not sure when Frost decides to tell his team, there's a chance the team finds out on social media before Frost stands in front of the team and says his goodbyes. If the team wins on Saturday, Frost might elect to wait until Sunday to not take away from the team's accomplishments. The news (I guess starting with this one) will already be out.
As for his staff, I'm told Ryan Held, Zachary Duval, Mario Verduzco, Erik Chinander, Barrett Ruud and Greg Austin are the one's he's taking. I haven't been able to confirm or deny any of the other staffers, except for Sean Beckton. He won't be going to Nebraska. Chinander could be the only one that goes before the bowl game as Frost doesn't want to leave his team without a staff for the bowl game.
UCF has a good chance at winning a third AAC championship on Saturday, but it'll be the last game with Frost on the sideline. The ink is dry.

This almost confirms what I have heard about Nebraska keeping their WR, DL, and DB coach.
UCF fans, do you think Troy Walters will be offered the job?
