Bernie Sanders coaches America on how to become millionaire

So, like the majority of your posts, this is literal bullshit. The Koch brothers study found that while it would add about $32.6 Trillion over 10 years, the projected cost of healthcare using the current system would not have to be paid since it would be funded by the government, and that number is actually much larger than this Medicare for all estimate. The Koch brothers inadvertendly estimated a $2 Trillion dollar SAVINGS.

The Costs of a National Single-Payer Healthcare System,” published by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. The Mercatus Center gets some of its funding from the libertarian Koch brothers, but more about that later.

The author of the paper, Charles Blahous, a senior research strategist at the Mercatus Center who once was the deputy director of President Bush’s National Economic Council, says the two proponents of a universal health care system are distorting the findings of his paper.

The study looked at the impact of the Medicare for All Act introduced by Sanders on Sept. 13, 2017. The bill, which has 16 Democratic cosponsors, would expand Medicare into a universal health insurance program, phased in over four years. (The bill hasn’t gone anywhere in a Republican-controlled Senate.)

The top line of the paper’s abstract says that the bill “would, under conservative estimates, increase federal budget commitments by approximately $32.6 trillion during its first 10 years of full implementation.” According to the paper, even doubling all “currently projected federal individual and corporate income tax collections would be insufficient to finance the added federal costs of the plan.”

But Sanders’ spokesman, Josh Miller-Lewis, told us that presenting only the additional governmental cost of Medicare-for-all — “the scary $32 trillion figure” — leaves out the larger context. Of course the government would spend more on health care under a Medicare-for-all system, he said, but the idea is that it would result in less spending on healthcare in the U.S. overall.

Miller-Lewis referred to figures not highlighted in the report that show that between 2022 and 2031, the currently projected cost of health care expenditures in the U.S. of $59.4 trillion would dip to $57.6 trillion under the “Medicare-for-all” plan. That’s how Sanders arrives at his claim that the study “shows that Medicare for All would save the American people $2 trillion over a 10 year period.”

@Crazyhole am I allowed to call 85 an uneducated moron for spreading his lies, or is that a no go still?

The study may be accurate but I have my doubts because rarely does the government do anything that ends up being more affordable than it was before. My biggest issue with it is that most people don't use a whole lot of healthcare, but if we go to medicare for all it will be like the ACA only worse in that healthy people will be subsidizing unhealthy people. And of course, the bottom 50% of earners won't be footing much of the bill at all. Long term care is a shitshow already for Medicaid and Medicare patients, i cant see how this will help.

It's 85, you're lucky he's typing in complete sentences and not sending death threats. Of course its fuking made up by him.
But this board has thousands and thousands of posts from people 85 thinks of as left wing nut jobs and it has a search feature. He can probably find where someone says all millionaires are bad right? Since he's so confidently stated that.

What study? You mean the Koch Brothers study that Democrats blatantly chose to lie about, so badly so that the WashPo had to award them 4 Pinocchio's for using a cherry picked non-fact to present it as fact? That has to be it since no study, including that one, ever said it'd "be more affordable".

I honestly thought this debunked total lie had been refuted so many times and so definitively that no one would try to push that again.

No surprise, really. Ninja gonna Ninja. You know his tired routine. He'll hop on Google, or a Reddit comment section, then copy and paste something he thinks will make him sound informed and educated. Honestly, these are pretty easy to spot. If he posts something that is not an insult or personal attack, and sounds remotely intelligent, you can bet he ripped it off. At least he's learned to try to mask it by rewording and paraphrasing. Unlike the time he was caught straight-up plagiarizing.

Good lord you really are my bitch.

100% of your posts in the water cooler are about me. I don't even know who you are.

So they just assumed the report is wrong. Awesome investigation.

Doesn't change the fact that the report literally claims it will be cheaper to go to M4A.

,It is likely that the actual cost of M4A would be substantially greater than these estimates, which assume significant administrative and drug cost savings under the plan, and also assume that healthcare providers operating under M4A will be reimbursed at rates more than 40 percent lower than those currently paid by private health insurance.”

Kinda hard to invest when people like Bernie and AOC want you to pay a 70% income tax.

I honestly can't tell if you are seriously this fuking stupid, or you just enjoy lying.

Do you have any idea how many people would be affected by this 70% proportional tax rate? Or do you really make $100 million a year :joy:

The funny thing is I just responded to Crazy’s context, addressed the obvious lie as presented by someone which we had seen before and debunked, and still apparently ended up on Ninja. I’m sure he’s busy hurling obscenities multiple posts in a row now.

Easy to steal when it isn't your money. Bernie doesn't want to give away 70% of his $550k income. Typical liberal hypocrite.

It’s funny that you said this. It’s 100% true. He’s incapable of intelligent posts

Ninjaknight thinks that multiple laughing emojis wins an argument. ”Fuking stupid moron.” Lol

My company's cheapest option for an individual is 47 per pay most expensive is 127 per pay. What was it costing you?
I pay $77 a pay period for the lowest tier plan and hate paying every penny of it. They should pay it all. Some top plans are nearly $300 a pay period

They say that it costs them at least $7000 a year for many employees.

Health care isn’t cheap unless you have a crap plan!

$77 is 30% of your income?

Bernie released 10 years worth of tax returns. It sure looks like he has nothing to hide.

lol we already knew that he was a government sucking leech who used the advantages of capitalism to publish a book and get his sheep to buy it.

He can't do anything beyond be a politician and fail to hold a real job. We knew that.

But hey, can't wait for him to drive resentment towards the 1% when he's one too!

I'm not a Bernie supporter but the word is he kicked butt in a Fox News Town Hall.

I admire him for bringing his message to Fox News viewers.

Not how i saw it but yes at least he did it, as opposed to the pussy DNC who won’t do a FNC debate

Apparently you missed the part where the majority of the Fox audience raised their hands when he asked if they supported medicare for all. How embarrassing.

Oh and LOL at you pretending like this crowd was conservative just because it was on FNC. I listened to their reaction on other things and this was CLEARLY a bunch of sad socialist Bernie Bros.

So thanks for attempting to lie yet again and misrepresent what this audience cheering really meant

It’s a townhall. The Sanders campaign decides who gets in and who doesn’t. What would anyone expect the crowd to do?

Don't tell that to lyin' Shuckster. He wanted us to believe that this was the "Fox News crowd" who all just suddenly happened to embrace socialism and terrible left wing ideas since senile Bernie showed up.

This is the same crowd that cheered loudly for anti-Semite and "some people did something" disgrace Rep Omar.

It was a town hall hosted and produced by Fox News. Why would Bernie’s campaign have any say?

Face it: single payer healthcare becomes more and more popular as time goes on. Our healthcare system is broken, and people are looking for help.

Do you think that Fox News asked Bernie to come on and he just agreed with no stipulations? I would find that highly unlikely. More likely that they've been working for a while on conditions for Fox News to host Bernie and the campaign would have plenty of say in what goes down. Townhalls during campaigns are normally just campaign events with the crowd selected by the campaign and the questions screened by the campaign. It's political theater. I'm guessing this one is similar.

Using a similar argument, what are the odds that Fox News let Bernie stack the town hall with his supporters so that he would get roars of applause every time he spoke? I'd peg them at roughly 0%.

Even if it was 50/50 repub/dem, the people in that room overwhelmingly supported his plan.

If this was the case, Brett Baier had a huge brain fart when he asked the audience his health care question. You think Brett got the answer he expected?

It sure pissed off Trump

I guess we'll see if the information ever gets out. Regardless, it's all noise anyways.

I'm guessing the moderators were only told the crowd wasn't stacked. Regardless, it has to be concerning that anybody running a "free stuff" campaign can with the Presidency. Especially a do-nothing hypocrite like Bernie.

Nothing is "free," and it's disingenuous of you to make such a claim. I'm not a "Bernie bro," but 2 seconds of googling (it's literally the first link) shows his plan on how to pay for a single payer system.

https://www.sanders.senate.gov/download/options-to-finance-medicare-for-all?inline=file

Personally, I think it's insane that healthcare is tied to something like employment. I have a good job that pays pretty damn well and my company/I still get absolutely raked over the coals despite being 30 and healthy.

Look at the origination of employer based health insurance. It came about so that employers could pay lower wages under the guise of "benefits".
