Biden to double tariffs on lumber

This doesn't seem like a good idea right now.
Slightly lower than what Trump had previously proposed. I wonder what percentage of lumber we get from Canada in to US. I read that in the south we have a lot of problems with termites that Canada doesn’t (due to their freeze thaw cycle) and thus the lumber is different. But I assume at least some northern states might rely on them for a portion.

No idea on the percentage, but I know we get a lot of SPF and hemlock from Canada.

I have no problems with Tariffs if unfair trade practice is going on, But when Plywood is going for 55 to 80 per sheet, and all lumber has doubled, he might want to think long and hard before doing it.
