There was also the Osaka School Massacre where a man killed 8 kids and wounded another 15 with a knife. They also had 36 killed in an arson attack in 2019, 3 killed and 19 injured in another 2019 stabbing, 6 killed in an arson attack in 2017, 19 killed and 26 injured in a mass stabbing in 2016, and on and on.

IOW, it's not about the guns, it's about the people who kill. Take away guns and they'll find another way. Some of them are even more effective and deadly.

I've thought about starting a "Mass Shooting of the Week" thread for blanket coverage/takes of all the renewed insanity we're seeing. But I decided to nix the idea because our Usual Suspects here would accuse me of 'celebrating' these God-awful things.

Instead, we'll send the victims' families our 'thoughts and prayers' and keep telling ourselves that's there's absolutely, positively nothing we can ever do to stop this craziness from continuing to happen to our country.
