Big12 Conference plays starts for UCF mens on Saturday. First 5 games.

reading the front end of this thread juxtaposed with middle and end is highly entertaining. i read somewhere that your coach is now 4-0 versus the squawks. whew!

college basketball is so entertaining in part because upsets are imaginable and often real. so ucf frolics over the mighty cheats. who would have guessed? good for dawkins. good for his knights. and good for ucf nation. emaw that!

I think he changed the team to adapt to his talent. Press Virginia to throw it up to the bucket n go get it to straight up ugly ball but he always had his team in the tournament He took WVU to several sweet sixteens and a Final Four Won the Big East Morgantown is a different place. They will have problems after this year too although they have some big time money if they hire the right guy. Huggins was a WV guy.

At Cincy he had some big time players would’ve won it all one year without a late season injury.

Tough coach but extremely honest guy with his players. Got offered the UCF job in a crazy set of circumstances in the 80s too

If UCF plays like they did against Kansas, I have no doubt in my mind they definitely have a solid shot against BYU. We need the energy, the fans, and the fronds today!

Take care of the ball n shoot 50% is the recipe. With Ucf’s athletic ability, defense should always be good.

Free throw shooting is atrocious. As the announcer said during this broadcast, “UCF can’t throw it into the ocean right now”.

And then a terrible shot for 3 to tie. BYU gifting chance after chance but it’s as if there was no play drawn up each time

can't shoot free throws and can't finish at the basket. can't shoot threes either, but at least if you can do the first two you'll be alright against most teams.

BYU was begging UCF to win that game , multiple chances

I will say our home court advantage looks great in conference play..maybe it is the bandwagon effect of the Kansas upset that wears off but it always looked stale in the AAC , especially weekend day games

Mikey can drive and dunk. When outside shots aren’t falling you need to attack basket and at least get fouled. He should bring that.

My keys to having a good chance to win most any game:
Three Pointer >30%
FT >70%

Against BYU:
Three Pointer = 17%
FT = 64%

With a little better shooting from three that game could have swung our way. Energy was good. Didn’t help that 37 minutes of bench play produced 1 point.

30% from the field makes it very tough too

UCF is 8.5 underdogs to Texas tonight.

Game at 8pm. No tv coverage. it's on longhorn network (not sure I get that) and/or radio.

Longhorn network might be part of espn+. I just clicked on it and it showed up. Hope it is.

8.5 points is a lot of points. I bet UCF gets beat by more, but hope not. Just thinking out loud.

Go Knights.
