Can someone explain why things were done the way they were done?

We go in and shoot him in the face. Then under fire we extracted his body, hauled it to a boat just to give him a "proper" Muslim burial at sea, even though that's not a proper burial. Meanwhile, 4 or 5 other Muslims were shot in the face as well but we left their corpses behind to rot.

I just don't understand the thought process behind this course of action. Why risk lives to extract the body of the worlds most wanted criminal only to honor his faith while at the same time dishonoring the faith of the other people we just shot in the face?

That makes no sense. Why would his body being one place or another make him more of a martyr? It almost seems like leaving his body with his skull split in 2 and not having a nose wouldn't be a good rallying cry if people saw it.

1). They needed to remove the body in order to make a positive identification (facial recognition and DNA) by experts that were on the ship.

2) Once removed no country would accept the body.

3) Also, as Knighttime stated, burial at sea means nowhere for a shrine.

They were trying to see if he floats? Because if he floats and, as we know, a duck floats then, ergo, he must weigh the same as a duck. If he weighs the same as a duck, then he is made of wood. What is also made of wood? Houses. Do you want terrorists to live in a house made of Bin Laden?

Probably because the Original order was kill take pics and hair sample for DNA. Seals botched it. Ended taking whole body. Then when they got on Boat realized they Effed up. The order came to dump the body and they did. America making mistakes as usual. They got lucky with this one. They really never thought it through. It's this thinking we must rid the government of.
