The only 'big spending' package that Congress has been able to pass was the infrastructure bill which was 20 years past due. It's the only thing of merit that has been accomplished.

REAL fiscal responsibility begins with setting priorities and passing an ACTUAL budget. You know, it's like what normal American familes have to do without busting out the credit cards. The kind of 'fiscal conservatism' we're getting with Matt Gates and his fellow clowns in the House is all political theatre and zero conviction.

We need a REAL conservative party (either a reboot of the GOP or a new one.) Instead of passing this bipartisan bill, their answer to to call it DOA and instead try to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas (it failed by 2 votes.)

I agree it is my opinion, but the turn them back rule don't kick in until 5k per day over 7 days happen. When Biden took control his own people said 4k would be a crisis. Those days are long gone and bringing the # to 5k, when it was under 3 when he opened it up, is laughable.

That House bill essentially banned all asylum requests, emergency or not. Imagine telling our Afghan supporters at the time of our troop withdrawal that they and their families would have to wait in their Talaban-governed country until we finished processing their paperwork. How would that have worked out for those young families?
