There are no guarantees. You can't always "go home again." Sometimes you just tarnish your rock star status.

BYU on Monday fired offensive coordinator Ty Detmer, who was a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback for the Cougars.

Detmer won the 1990 Heisman Trophy before beginning a 14-year NFL career with six teams. He was a two-time All-American for the Cougars.

I agree there are no guarantees... but Detmer's coaching experience before BYU was at a high school.

And in a few years should Frost go this will be said

"I agree there are no guarantees... but Frost's coaching experience before Nubraska was at a G5." You arrogant pricks don't consider G5 worth anything, but at least we play football.

They need to fire their head coach and let coach Ken run his option. Coach Ken has already agreed to go to BYU if they will let him run the option. Another school that will have to play a different brand of football (like they did in the 70-80's) in order to win.

Would be an interesting fit, no size limits like at Navy, with a bunch of 25 year old Polynesian guys...if they cut you at the knees, you aren't getting up.
