Not too sure about that. But they were way too lackadaisical and nonchalant with the ball today. They cost them against an inferior physical opponent.

Keys to Sucess met but they couldn’t overcome a good ole "Johnny Dawkins Special", where your team comes out in one of the two halves and doesn't score for 3-4 minutes. Extra special tonight as we went ~4:30 without scoring to start the second half.

This happens far too often with his teams and is one of the main reasons we will continue to be a .500 conference team.

Honestly, dawkins is not a good coach. I don't like how he plans or non plans. his recruiting hasn't worked out on the level we need. He's got zero fire and he's a stick in the mud. Maybe I'm wrong and it's a money thing. We just don't have the talent to compete getting blown out by 40 and 50 points at times

Tough one to swallow. I started to watch it back. The no-call on Keita when he threw Thiam out of the way, got the rebound and made a close shot to go up 4 with 2 minutes left, followed by the no-call when Keita tripped Johnson right after basically sealed it for BYU. Mag then hit a shot to go up 6 with 1:26 and that was it. The ref made a total makeup call on Johnson’s following drive, but at that point it was too late. We had a glimmer of hope when Hall missed two free throws with 25 seconds left and we were down 5, but Hall drove and got blocked. Would have loved if he could have kicked it out for a 3 attempt there.

I saw Johnson getting into it with Keita after the game. If we face them again in the conference tournament, that’ll be an intense game!

Wasn’t JJ sick on Tuesday for last game? It’s kind of odd, 2 guys that are close friends, that don’t play much, sit out together. Maybe they are actually sick. But when you rarely play anyway, why would you sit out the entire game? I’d be surprised if they came back next year. Either they aren’t great or Dawkins doesn’t know how to use them.
