CDC starts walkback of 99.5% propaganda campaign

Looks like all the usual losers are jerking it together on a Sunday

LOL...laughable now. Now you need a vaccine plus a mask and then the vaccine is only good for a few months.

Yup 2-3 months this current boost. Then a delta specific boost in Jan/Feb to reward all the loyal jabberwalkies. With Merck’s new out-patient antiviral poison toxic molnupiravir given out like candy in between boosters

The goalposts just keep moving. It isn't even from real-time data anymore, it's about what might happen.

"These vaccines are a miracle".

That is such bizarre rhetoric given the follow up statement that they won't know for a few more months whether it's safe to lift the mask mandate.

The US CDC still lists the efficiacy of influenza vaccines at 85%+.
That right there is the problem.

They can have their own statistics, post-seasons, to refute their own, buried deep on their site.
But they refuse to change their main pages.

Same with the 'breakthrough infection' rate, which is only based on ICU or death rates.

We’ve been hearing all kinds of things about how platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Tic-Tok manipulate people the same way the tobacco industry did back in the day.

This board is a textbook example of that manipulation in action. It’s sad really.

It’s very sad. We have grown adults in their 30s and 40s searching Twitter 24/7 looking for the gotcha moment. Shows a major lack of intelligence. Educated people don’t get their information from Twitter. Only @Crazyhole @Boston.Knight and @KNIGHTTIME^

If you notice, @UCFBS doesn’t post
Twitter retreads much. He’s educated, but nuts

The irony? Seriously, in what bizarro, alternate universe are you talking about?

In the world most of us sane people in, I'll happily compare the number of times I've posted something from Twitter here to yours.

The irony is that you are comparing Twitter and Facebook to Phillip Morris. Twitter and Facebook censor anything that isn't pro-vax.

That's ironic? For what its worth, Phillip Morris knew of the dangers of smoking YEARS before the government stepped in. Yet despite their own (hidden) research, they fought the government tooth and nail.

Like Phillip Morris, Facebook knows from their own research (which was hidden but recently made public) how the company can influence the usage of their product by the way they manipulate their content by stirring up hatred.
Twitter and Facebook censor anything that isn't pro-vax.
If Twitter censors everything that isn't pro-vax, where the hell are you getting your Twitter posts?

The CDC study was only for 3-6 months after vaccination if I'm reading that correctly, and only in hospitalized patients for one hospital system.
The CDC has 0 statistics after April on 'breakthrough infections' that don't lead to the ICU or death. That right there is what the CDC is under major scrutiny over in the medical community.

Because it takes a bit before Twitter is able to remove them and ban people.

You should have learned that from Rand Paul, as well as US NIH researchers and even experts employed by the US FDA.

It's kinda a joke at this point how blatant it's becoming.

In the "what have you sent me in the last few minutes" world of Twitter, telling me "it take a bit before Twitter is able to remove them" is like closing the barn door after the cows have already gotten out -- which is why we continually see these bullsh!t Twitter posts here.

Twitter is way better than Facebook on this issue, because they don't ban legitimate accounts that provide statistical analysis. That's pretty much all I share.

Yep. Twitter has to reach a level of consensus internally, and that takes time. Of course, they will double-down, but still ... it takes time.

Facebook banned some of my recent stuff with justifications that have nothing to do with anything I post. They are 90% automated now, and it's kinda a joke ... one I share when I screenshot and, again, it's just laughable.

Well this is awkward
Time magazine is anti-vax.*

They said the vaccines weren't designed at all to reduce the spread, and that the vaccine itself doesn't actually reduce the spread at all either, and it's only exposure that actually does -- and the debate is around how much the vaccine helps (or even hurts) natural immunity (recovery), which is the only thing that actually reduces spread.

Oh wait, that's all now proven true!
