Conference Realignment Thread

Congrats to SMU and ACC. P4 is real.
Should stabilize ACC if They lose 2 or 3.

It looks as if it will now be the P4.

More top teams entering the B1G or SEC will only diminish the future chances of the current powers to remain top dogs.

Will be watching W/L record of the B1G schools once USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon enter conference play.

Only one school can be conference champion.

Sometimes it is better to dominate your conference than be an also ran in another.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

The biggest question for me is why Clemson and FSU would want to leave a conference where they dominate and it's not frowned-upon at all by 13 people sitting in a room. A real head-scratcher, like Oklahoma and Texas bolting for the SEC.
This ^^^^ post assumes CFB is still playing by the same old rules. It's not. As the wild conference realignments have made crystal clear: it's a whole new ballgame now.

Think about it: If we're still playing by the old rules, why in the world would OU and Texas join the SEC and why would all of the Big Dawgs in the Pac join the B1G? Why replace an easlier path to a natty with a Murderer's Row schedule? While the Big 2 have the best TV deals, it goes far beyond that.

It's because the SEC and B1G are fixing to say bye-bye to the NCAA and make even more Mega-Big Bucks for their member schools by creating their own national playoff.
