I watched the same speech and -- by golly -- I don't recall President Biden saying he might 'allow' Fourth of July gatherings.
I could have sworn the President said that if we all do our part to get vaccinated, our country could be in a position where we could all safely celebrate Independence Day like the old days. But hey, when you want to create controversy where there is none, about an aspirational goal no less, I suppose misconstruing what the President said is one way to go about it. 🙄
The irony is most of those that scream let’s get back to normal are the highest vaccine skeptics that would be the people that would cause this to keep going . variants wouldn’t have the chance to form if we got to 70% vaccinated. Europe should be a warning , the spikes there are bc they are screwing up vaccine rollout and the variants are winning the race
That was a pretty dumb statement... especially since millions are on Spring Break Trips or having Easter gatherings too, let alone Memorial Day Weekend trips as well.
He literally said that they will put out guidance for what a person can and cannot do after being fully vaccinated. It's not a stretch to say that he's willing to forbid some things even if you and the people around you are at no risk. If Trump said such a thing you'd be screaming about how that is evidence that he's trying to be a dictator.
Biden is well aware people are not listening but he is not going to say that in a speech encouraging responsible behavior when talking about vaccine hope and the stimulus. He is the POTUS not Mayor Larry Vaughn

an over 65 family member drove TO Orlando to get shot 1 about 3 weeks ago bc it was so easy to get an appointment in Orange County compared to other parts of the State and that was during the initial rush. If someone over 60 or 65 hasn't gotten a covid vaccine appointment or walk up in Orange County by now it's bc they don't want the vaccine

The FEMA sites(Valencia West) have been giving people the choice between Pfizer or J&J but starting Tuesday they are going to only J&J for the 1st shot. Not sure about the State sites
I’ve got my first dose scheduled for Friday at the Oviedo Mall. They’re only giving out Pfizer there.
Had my second Pfizer shot a week ago last Monday. No after effects with either shot for me or my wife.

Smart people followed the guidelines and have gotten, or will soon be getting, their vaccinations. The sooner everybody does this, the quicker things will get back to normal (or at least a 'new' normal.)
