DG definitely made the right decision when he left Gus

I haven’t read anyone saying ignore Frost coming back to UCF. The fact is he flopped at Nebraska….a Blueblood program having more resources than not only UCF, but the overwhelming majority of schools. It probably had a lot to do with the jump up in competition for recruits and on the field. There aren’t as many cupcakes as in the AAC. There aren’t as many cupcakes in the Big 12 either.

I will forever love Frost for what he did at UCF, but to assume he’d do the same thing in the Big 12 because “UCF is UCF” and not Nebraska is a 50/50 proposition at best. …and based on his last performance at one of the blueblood programs in the country with every resource in the world is …unlikely. Matt Rhule is currently 5-1 in his second season at the same Nebraska Frost coached.

Everything you said about your confidence in Frost’s ability to do it again at UCF is wiped away when even you’re not all in. “PS, not sure I’d want Frost” 😀

“Did the point get across yet? “ 😜
Frost is surrounded by the type of players he needs in Florida. It's not easy to get Florida/Georgia/Alabama/Louisiana kids to Nebraska. Those states are UCF's pipelines.

When there were little options Jersey kids went to Nebraska but that stopped when college football really opened up. In addition relationships with coaches dry up after years

Frost’s recruiting was better at Nebraska than at UCF. He had top tier talent to run his offense.

I disagree with the comment DG wanted “change and the opportunity to prove himself”.

He wanted to get paid and knew he couldn’t sell enough socks at UCF. No way he sells over $5 million (or whatever he’s earned) in socks at UCF. He made the right call.

Does he have any legibility after this year? If he does, he should complete his young man gone west and play for Hawaii next year.

So ... let me get this straight.

DG didn't go to Oklahoma for more money. *
DG didn't follow his favorite coordinator to Oklahoma. *
DG's favorite coordinator didn't go to Oklhahoma for more money. *
And DG stayed with Oklahoma too? *

Sigh ... I'm just going to start calling this Gus Derrangement Syndrome (GDS).

Everyone leaves UCF because of Gus.
No one wants to come to UCF because of Gus.
Play works, Gus didn't call it.
Play doesn't work, Gus called it.
Pass doesn't work, Gus should have let Tim/RJ run it.
Run doesn't work, Gus should have let Tim/Rizk pass.

Did anyone notice Gus had a play sheet and headset on last night? Very odd for a guy not calling plays. The supposed play caller didn’t have the play sheet in his hands at all times. Why does Gus lie?

And a few hours later you insinuate that Heupel failed to recruit RJ Harvey, and some how Harvey comes to UCF later in spite of Heupel.

"He's a Hometown Hero. But yes, he left Heupel, went to Virginia, but then came back. He was also hurt his first year with Gus."

The positive news for you, when Malzahn manages to get 6 wins at some point in the next few years, you can gloat at how Malzahn has taken the program to new heights never before accomplished by Heupel or Frost.
