Who cares about optics. We need a head coach, waiting this long during middle of early signing day and transfer portal is border line outright malpractice. Exceptions are delaying announcement of a coach in a conference championship game.

a 2 win team taking players from a 4 win team will certainly improve them next season.
I agree the optics are bad but it's also common. It might make Gus look successful, but the biggest problem with him is, he's going to have to develop them. He's actually going to have to call a game. That success will look great till Aug 30, 2025. Fortunately for him, he'll be able to pick up the only 2 wins of the season the next few weeks, then reality hits.
Exactly and where are all of the players going and who are they following? Who do the players blame for the terrible season, correction seasons? Who was calling all of those dumb plays? Makes me wonder how astute these players are.
