A little, I'll agree, but I'm obviously of the camp to place more blame on the original asshole.
Because according to BQ and Ninja, Wayne posting something controversial in another thread MUST mean that he’s a BIGOT!, and MUST mean that everything he posts has a BIGOT! Slant to it.
Despite the fact that the couple being lesbian in this story was totally secondary to the actual story, and largely inconsequential
Yes - I stand by what I said originally that I believe the reason he decided to post this here was the fact that it had 2 women in it. Only reason? Maybe not but I do believe he decided to ultimately put it in the Cooler was there were 2 women in it.
Wayne posts a lot of stuff on here and most of it has some sort of controversial undertone to it. I don't think he's out there looking for anti-gay things to post - I think he's out there looking for things that have some sort of "shock" factor.
It's fine that he did post it here - but yes, I personally think there being two women contributed to him ultimately posting it here.
P.S. - when it comes to being offended at what Wayne said, you best believe I am. I can take a joke about being gay. I have no issue with the "f" word or anything like that. BUT that's when I know when it's used as a joke.
When someone basically says, I don't care that you're you but hey, you're inferior....do you know how that feels? Probably not. I never called Wayne a bigot in here or in the other thread, FYI. I don't think he posted this because he HATES gay people (although he obviously has some archaic views on them), he posted it because it had some sort of controversial aspect beyond the original story.
I believe you are actually thinking of wayne's post in the other thread, where he pathetically tried to defend his archaic views on same sex parenting. Wayne has an extremely simplistic tribal view of others who are different from him, as evidenced by his obsession with posting about muslims and illegal immigrants, and now homosexuals.

Funny, you leave out the quote where he said the 70% of the people in this country without degrees are incapable of making decisions. I guess you're saying that was a compliment?

You do realize it is possible to think uneducated people should not be making important decisions and not "despise" them?
I don't know enough about wayne to say he despises anyone. I do think based on his history of his posts (which contain a disproportionate amount about the negative activities of anyone who is different from him) that he has a very simplistic tribal view of the world.
First, I never said I hated anyone and I didn't say anyone was inferior to someone. I will admit (which I'm pretty sure I did in that thread too later on), that I can see how I phrased things make it seem like I am though.
I didn't say they are incapable of making decisions either. I do believe that a good chunk of the country isn't educated enough to fully understand a lot of issues. This INCLUDES me. I most certainly do not understand everything and will never claim I do. Another chunk of the country just doesn't care enough to inform themselves of certain issues.
And yes Fab, unlike others here, I will admit that I am judgmental. Just like everyone else. It's human nature.
yes i mostly post crap in the wc to get a reaction or start conversations because i get bored during the day at work. i used to post a lot of random things, but over the years they mostly got ignored so i stopped do those for the most part and stuck with the controversial stuff. its all in good fun.
i dont hate gay or lesbians or whatever. what you or anyone does in their home is fine by me as long as its not illegal or could cause others harm. ill stay out of your business if you stay out of mine.
my comments from the other thread were about raising a family. something i have experience and something i see every single day dealing with other kids. my state was first and foremost, 2 parents are better than one. i even said i dont care if they are the same sex. i just said i think the nuclear family is the best. of course there is always the exception to the rule, no one denies that. 1 awesome parent is better than 2 sh;ty ones. however the best method to raise kids is to have a loving father and mother. i stand by that statement 100%.
that said, that other thread had nothing to do with me posting this one. it was literally at the top of several of the news aggregators that i use daily and that is why i posted it. the fact they were gay didnt matter. had it mattered i wouldve put something snarky in the title or the description. an entire family is dead because of several failures from friends/family/neighbors/dcf to spot these insane people and take their kids away from them.
Investigators are now confident it was intentional. The car stopped at a lookout on the highway before driving straight off the side. No skid marks or attempt to stop
